Nice staff, clean room, shared bath. Kitchen can be busy and I definitely washed dishes before using them, but it is a YHA so quite a few younger clientele. No issues with noise and attached to the dive shop about 30 seconds to the beach, what more could you want?

Perfect location close to the beach, staff was friendly, everything was clean, got to know many nice people.However, there's no air conditioning in rooms only fans (that won't reach every bed) so if you're booking a 6 beds room you might end up sweating all night long.For more than 30$ a night you could at least expect some air con, this was more expensive than my whole apartment in Brizzy and for me a hostel is about cheap accommodation.

Situated in a great spot, almost directly on the beach!We stayed a couple of night during the quiet period. Hostel amenities and room were nice, everything was clean with very few suspicious stains. Only downside was how far out of the town it is, it's a solid 15-20 walk to the nearest shop or pub. Other than that happy days!

Close to the beach, clean, familiar atmosphere and from all of the 7 hostels in which I’ve slept so far not the most modern, but overall the most perfect one!

Awesome hostel. Clean.. two seconds from the beach. Has everything you need as a beach hostel. Friendly people, clean facilities, few playable guitars on the wall and hanging line out back. Also, if your into diving, that's your spot.

we paid $100 a night for a private room, the room was clean. No soap in the dispensers in the bathroom, and it was impossible to connect to the wifi (we asked the staff who told us to wait until the next day but still the same).

I couldn't dive this time, but definitely will next time. They have a very professional and fun approach to diving. Have a beautiful beach just one minute away too

Needs a much bigger kitchen space, definitely too cramped for the amount of guests staying, but was well equipped. Not a memorable hostel and could do with some tlc for the price of it, but at least there is a hotel on Stradbroke island which is well worth a visit. The beds were comfy enough but being on the top bunk it was really hot next to the light! Was mostly clean though and not too noisy

The staff at Stradbroke Island YHA are so lovely and helpful,after checkout we could still use the facilities. We had a private dorm room for 3 guests and couldn't fault it. The air conditioner is a huge bonus, as where the comfy beds.

The hostel is located at the beachfront but you might not be able to have the sea view in your room. The beach is probably 2 minutes walk away with powdery sand that is perfect to have a stroll in. Swimming in the sea is very refreshing too
