Underwater Observatory
We walked to the end, and thought it's a long way to not do the observatory. We did a fit in between viewing not a guided and only got 20 mins. We had less people than the tour which I preferred and we could do our own thing. It's not fully glassed so there was some waiting period to be able to get a good view. Lots of fish so I think it's well worth it.

It was a great experience & our tour guide was very enthusiastic about her work. To be able to view under the ocean was amazing. A great time to book is at 4pm as the sunset is shinning through the water & lights up the coral( depending on what season you visit). I highly recommend it & book online especially at holiday seasons as you may miss out. My photos don't do it justice.

Nice for 30 a minute visit. Best to avoid peak times if you can because a train full of people occupy all the viewing windows. We saw a seal but that's a fairly rare occurrence apparently so you're lucky if you see one.

The underwater observatory is a train ride away or a long walk between the stations as it's pretty far out at the end of the pier. There's a friendly and knowledgeable guide conducting the tour as you delve into the different levels of the underwater observatory, explaining what you can look out for in each window before leaving you to wander on your own.

This is a beautiful underwater observatory, the perfect place to learn more about the aquatic animals in the area. The tour includes a train ride down the jetty and plenty of time at each level with a guide explaining what you're looking at. There was so much to see! You are given time to freely wander. We saw lots of little invertebrates, fish, and a fur seal. You can purchase tickets online or at the kiosk at the beginning of the jetty. Highly recommend!

Underwater Observatory
Awesome experience, so many beautiful fish. We took the train there and then walked back. Make sure to check the live cameras to see if visibility is good before buying your tickets. It can get busy but after the guided tour you have about an hour of free time in the Observatory and it often empties out so you can get a window to yourself.

Underwater Observatory
A bit expensive but pretty cool given that it’s only 1 of 6 natural aquariums in the world! Saw a great range of beautiful sea life in the sunlit waters and the little train was cute. Ocean was stunningly blue/green as we were lucky with perfect weather. Would recommend checking the live cams to suss visibility in the observatory before going

Even though the structure has been in place for 20 years, still looks in very good nick inside and out, the woman was very knowledgeable in telling us everything about the structure and new most of the types of fish that was there and the fish that come and go or visit sometimes

Combined with the train ride along the jetty, this is a great experience. Our guide was very knowledgeable and was well versed in the aquatic environment that was presented to us. She also was able to answer a range of questions regarding the construction of the observatory. The guided tour was an hour long, which provided adequate time to enjoy the experience.
