Very popular picnic and park area on the bay with views over to the islands and across towards Wynnum. For cyclist this is a much used turn around location for bay-side rides. Good picnic and BBQ facilities, shelters with seating, nearby toilets and water. Some parking but this can fill up during busy times.

Coolest tree ever! It’s so large that kids can climb it. Playground is great for kids, beach is nice and close with lifeguards. Also if you keep walking past the trees on the beach you can access more private beaches.

Lovely. Get there when the tide is low so that you can walk to and from King island! Water was calm so should be good for kids to play.

Good parking space. You can walk from there to the island when tide out. There is toilets and showers. Cafe with amazing staff. I haven’t tried food there, but it seems busy. Lots of locals walking there. Nice place

Been here many times. Always a beautiful spot to visit for a picnic. Good facilities: seating, BBQ, toilets, parking. The walk to King Island at low tide is a great little adventure too.

Wellington Point is lovely for sitting under the fig trees and having a picnic. If you go at low tide, you're able to walk out to the island on a sand bar and chase little crabs on the way.Take food as the fish n chip shop always has a long line. There's playgrounds, swimming, crab chasing, somewhere to fish, plenty of parking and easy changing facilities. It can get a little busy, but nothing like the Gold or Sunshine Coast beaches.

Love the evening walk to kings island when a path appears due to tidal effects. Unique nice spot. Good children park has well. Very busy in holidays, but still plenty to enjoy. BBQ and play area and showers and toilets are there..

Good to great for:- Wind based watersports like kite boarding and windsurfing (heaps of steady sea breeze here), or to just try out that new kids kite.- Long walks to the island and back at low tide.- Picnic in the lovely park adjacent to the southeast- Just hanging out by the seashoreNear useless for:- Swimming, or even venturing much past ankle deep water. at high tide this would be unpleasant, at low tide near impossible. Very uneven bottom in the shallows - mostly muddy too- Anything needing good sea water clarity. It is murky and silty pretty much always.- Just hanging out at the beach. At low tide, there is very little pleasant medium grain sand. At high tide, there is almost no beach at all

A medium sized park with plenty of small climbing walls and various other equipment. It's nestled under the trees and there's plenty of shaded area. Lots of benches and seating nearby, alongside toilet facilities and beach access.
