Purchased an entertainment unit online, it arrived quickly but was of very poor quality. Sliding door got stuck and wouldn't open properly, there was also a mark on it that looked like a person who made it accidenty cut too far into it but then tried to fill the cut in with a dark coloured filling (it was a light coloured wooden unit so it looked terrible). Sent pictures to customer service straight away, they got back to us quickly initially and it was decided they would pick up the unit and give me back a full refund. Over the next few days, however, we continued receiving more emails from customer service who tried to tell us it was just part of the natural woods colouring and they would give us back part of the total cost to pay for it (ultimately keeping the unit for cheaper), again we stated that no I wanted a full refund, it was a fault in the building process. After numerous emails and phone calls back and forth, the unit was picked up a week later and my money refunded. Very poor quality for the price, will not order from Temple and Webster again.

Do not waste your time with these two companies! I will not be using T&W again, nor will I recommend to friends and family in future.Delivery through Allied Express is impossible to coordinate and when I contacted T&W for some assistance and to advise of the poor experience at the hands of their 3rd party transport provider, I was met with apathy.I had taken 3 days off work and I still hadn't received the items I paid for. it had been 7 days since this item was meant to be delivered. The delivery date on the T&W receipt was 12-16 March but Allied Express had the items since 7th March.Tried to arrange an authority to leave, and get left with a card instead. Who knows when this item will arrive and if it actually is of decent quality. It’s looking quite bleak. The item then arrived on the day after this review, I had no idea it was coming but thankfully It got there in the end. The rug is of decent quality.I was offered a $25 voucher for my next purchase, and although I appreciate the gesture, there are far too may options out there for me to gamble on another purchase. Not for me.

Worst online furniture store - We ordered Odessa Industrial Shelving Unit. We had been waiting for the delivery for two weeks but the tracking systems says it was sitting in Melbourne delivery center. When it was delivered finally I realized that one box was missing. The delivery person told me they had been waiting for the second box to arrive because outside of the box says 1 of 2". Anyway I opened the box and there was no any metal structure :) Only the shelves were in there :):) The customer service person who talked to me over the phone was absolutely useless. This is thoroughly disappointing. I understand people do mistakes but twice??? You had the second chance to correct it by sending second box to Melbourne delivery center when you were contacted by the delivery company. But you didn't do that. I had to go online and chat to someone else to get a refund. I really want to send this junk back to them now. What a sad and disappointing experience."

Worst shopping experience so far. I bought a table and chairs and gave authority to leave my items unattended at the front door. I got an email confirming that my instructions had been received. So far so good. On the delivery day (Tuesday) the guy didn't leave my packages as he claimed he didn't have authority to leave the goods unattended. No idea what happened on their end. Since then I contacted temple and webster several times trying to arrange re-delivery of my items. No luck. We're Friday afternoon, just before 4pm, and their customer service is closed! I tried the online chat, the customer agent said she can't find an existing case so she is creating one and I now have to wait up to two business days just to get a response by email. Absolutely mind blowing. Will never buy anything there again.

After spending hundreds of dollars buying furniture from Temple and Webster, I've spent the entire day getting messed around by Allied Express, a delivery company they seem to persist with using, despite countless reviews from customers outlining what a shoddy experience they've had with them.I get a text at 7:15am saying my order is in transit to arrive today. I get another 11:30am telling me the item is less than 5km away and will arrive soon". At 1pm

I'm sure their products are fine, but the service is abysmal. The delivery service (Fastway) allegedly tried to deliver my item (I was home on the day) and allegedly left a calling card (they didn't). I wasn't contacted by anyone about the fact that my item wasn't delivered, I discovered this myself a week after (alleged) delivery when I checked with the tracking number. I then emailed Fastway and Temple & Webster (no phone numbers on either website so you can't call). and was told I'd need to wait a minimum of two days for a response. I got on Temple & Websters online chat and requested that my order be cancelled. The chat consultant talked me in circles for 45 minutes before he would cancel my order and refund me (thanks Jasper). 100% not worth the hassle.

Very upset and disappointed! I bought a king bed base at the start of Jan and it was supposed to be delivered by 25 Jan, but actually came on 4 Feb when I was overseas. More disappointing fact is 11 out of 17 items in the product are missing!!!!!!!!!!!! Same experience with many reviewers here!!!!!!! DO NOT RECOMMEND TEMPLE & WEBSTER!!!!!!!!Update: can't believe a company can make such a mistake, see below for the email content I sent to their customer service team:(I only received one package with partial missing items (see the attached pic 1). I emailed you guys with a specific list of missing parts with pictures and details (see the attached pic 2 & 3), however the following is still missing:Is there another package being delivered? Based on the previous conversation, it looks this is the only package I should receive.Since you are using AUS POST this time, I assume there should be no backlog this time.I can't even understand how your logistics team/customer service team made this mistake, especially given the specific list of missing parts and photo of the instructions. The level of incompetence is outstanding, do your departments even communicate with each other?EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED with your business and customer service!!!

Bought two new king single beds with under-bed storage last week and am extremely happy with the products themselves; aside from one screw missing from the pack; the items themselves are of very high quality and suit the application they're required for perfectly. My issue lies within the customer service side of things. Whilst the staff member I spoke to was extremely friendly, personable and helpful overall.... I was mislead on several occasions. First of all I was quoted a better" price on my initial quote; which was really $20 off freight by way of involuntary subscription to T&W's online community; which I don't/didn't want. This process wasn't offered to me in lieu of a discount; I was just told I was getting $20 off the initial price quoted. My name was then involuntarily signed up to your online database and I was just handed the keyboard from the service counter and asked to enter a random password which was just fobbed off as being "part of the process". Further to that I was then assured that whilst awaiting delivery I would be notified at every foreseeable opportunity as to when to expect my items to arrive. There was one email; and that was when the items were dispatched from the factory; and that was it. No SMS

Probably the worst online shopping experience I have had in a while. You guys need to take 'Fast Shipping' off your site. I ordered 2 office chairs for delivery in Collingwood (inner city.) Delivery was only on the 15th of March (10 days after order.) However...someone else (not in our business.) signed for the delivery who is not in my office (which the courier driver accepted...) and now we have a lost item. I contacted your support/web chat, who said they would investigate and get back to me within 2 days. No one got back to me. I then contacted again and was advised it is going to take an additional week to investigate. I have now asked for a refund, as I am a small business operator and need 2 additional chairs for the office - (another week will be coming up to 1 month!)

NEVER BUY FROM TEMPLE & WEBSTER. Very disappointed to be leaving a review like this as the furniture at the showroom seems to be relatively good quality for the price, and staff at the showroom are helpful and nice. But unfortunately T&W is an online store with terrible service - the furniture comes from a variety of different manufacturers/ suppliers who in turn use a variety of different delivery services. Result - be prepared to spend 3-4wks on the phone with a selection of Australia's worst courier services trying to schedule the delivery of your goods (especially if you have ordered multiple pieces; ordering just 1 piece might be fine). Then after spending all that time arranging logistics, my goods have arrived damaged and defective - I ordered 4 pieces 3 weeks ago and have so far received only 2 pieces, both damaged. The coffee table was dented, scratched and the whole top of the table is falling off - it's completely unusable - T&W's solution? They offered to give me $70 to keep the broken table as is (30% of the cost of the table). Needless to say I requested a replacement table and have now recommenced the joy of waiting to deal with the courier company - no sign of when I might receive the new table yet, even though they managed to arrange pick up of the broken table within 1 business day). I also received a rug this morning - dirty and with a hole in it. Again, requesting a replacement. This has been such a hassle and a waste of time with a lot of disappointment - I'm not looking forward to receiving the rest of my (likely damaged) order - if it indeed ever gets delivered to me.
