Portsea Pier
A nice pier even though it's not very long. Lots of people fishing. Crystal clear ocean. Fantastic coastline with white sand beach. Dog friendly too. The old pier is there too but no access to it.

Portsea Pier
A beautiful beach, ideal for divers and swimmers. With good cafe, restaurants and pubs nearby right outside the pier. Less fisherman than the other piers in Mornington which is great.

Portsea Pier
A must see and visit if down on the Mornington Peninsula. Popular pier for charter boat set offs of diving and fishing tours. Hot spot for land based fishing of good sized calamari, whiting, cuttle fish and tommy rough just to name a few. Can be hard to find street parking spot at sunrise and sunset. Wheel chair parking is available. Toilets located near by as well as drinking fountain and Telstra payphone.

Portsea Pier
What a beautiful spot for a swim or a picnic. Food is a bit pricey and there are not many options, which is a challenge on a busy day. Best to pack lunch!

Portsea Pier
Great spot for photos, fishing, swimming (experienced swimmers) and diving. Big waves do come in right next to the pier, which is great for photos and it doesn't seem to affect the fishing but for swimmers it is a harder task.

Portsea Pier
Amazing spot to visit. Great place to fish, kayak, paddle board, swim, scuba diving, walk and photo taking. There's lots of boats nearby for fishing/ diving tour. Public toilets available which includes showering. Heaps of parking spots for free (including multiliple disbale parking right in front of the pier), but tends to get crowded during mid day and evening. Few cafes and shops right beside the pier, which only open till 3pm. Also includes kids playground for children.

Here is a snapshot of my TripAdvisor Review on Portsea Pier.Portsea pier is found along the coastal line of the Mornington Peninsula. There are two levels for the tourists to use and many a person has fished there [squid and snapper are popular catches] and scuba dived. Lots of people sit and watch the waves or look over the ocean or the coastline while having a coffee or a snack. The water here on most days is quite clear making it easy to see what is happening below the surface. Though jumping or diving off the pier is NOT allowed for safety reasons. If you have a dog with you, it has to stay leashed. Note that Portsea front beach has sandbagging happening at the moment due to erosion [access to one side of the beach is closed], so be sure to watch your step and follow the signs. If you continue around the bend you will find the Portsea Beach Huts.Parking is interesting and limited to 2 hours and they will fine you - so be careful and watch your time there. Not far from the pier are a few cafes and eateries - such as La Capucin [for a great coffee and snack - see review] and Radio Luna [for a super meal - see review].A great place to take photos, have a relaxing walk, go for a swim and other wellbeing activities. Hop on down as the restrictions are slowly being lifted. [Review written May]

Portsea Pier
A brilliant pier dive spot with lots of opportunities to see sea dragons, calamari, octopus and an array of different fish. Several fisherman here and children jumping off the pier, so be cautious when diving, but otherwise lots to see underwater. Stunning views from the end of the pier too. Parking is quite limited, so be sure to arrive early if you're diving.
