Sydney Domestic Appliance Centre

I will not be using this company for any job going forward.I used them for a simple washing machine repair in April 2022 (water leak caused by an old washer)). It took 2 x visits and close to $400 to get that job done. The washing machine then began leaking approx 10 weeks later in the same place. I called them as surely this repair would be under warranty (and fixing it in the first place was not cheap) but they refused to do anything about it until I sent through a photo of the leak. I did that and then they said -without even bothering to send someone out to take a look - the issue is due to my negligence 'and probably a bra hook has torn the washer' and further it would cost me another $380 for them to come out and fix it. $800 in total to undertake the same simple repair within 3 months is exorbitant to say the least. I have now bought a new combined Samsung washing machine and dryer for less than $800.

Hopeless!! Would give a minus rating if I could. First engaged services on 26th March and dishwasher is still not fixed, need overcharged parts to fix then need more overcharged parts...... tell you supervisor will call which never ever happens. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY complete rip off merchants who are unable to fix things anyway!

Not surprised by other reviews. Steve is immediately disrespectful, lazy and does NO due diligence. He condescendingly refers you to use a manual, because aparently a washing machine is too difficult to use.The machine is infact broken.I now have to consult another service and accept that my time was wasted and find a company willing to do the job.I do not recommend Sydney Domestic Appliance Centre at all. You will pay for nothing if you decide on this service.

I would highly recommend Sydney Domestic Appliance Centre to anyone who needs assistance with appliance repairs. The staff were all helpful, professional and accommodating, fitting me in really quickly. The technician was knowledgable and explained everything he was looking at/doing without me having to ask any questions. Their follow-up regarding the part was super efficient - I received a call the next day and was given an honest response regarding the cost of the part vs investing in a new machine.I'd contacted several other domestic appliance repairers who 'guarantee' 24 hour response and SDAC were the only one who were proactive in contacting me (I am still waiting on most of the others almost a week on).

Waited 3 hours and was told the tech was 5min down the road and would be there in 30min?!?!?!?Once arrive tech was fast.Poor customer service and unclear communication from these guys. Avoid if you want to keep your sanity

I called them for an under warranty Fisher and Paykel ice maker repair. I provided all the detail requested and was told once approved I would be contacted. After nearly two week I called them. I had lots of excuses about waiting for approval from a manage and very busy. I was told I would get a call the next day. Three days later no call so I called again and was told I'd get a call later that day. No one called again. I gave up and just called Fisher and Paykel who apologised and immediately scheduled one of their technicians.I would not recommend this company and, IMO, Fisher and Paykel should stop using them.

Avoid this company! I described the problem (dryer drum band damage) and gave the specific model of Bosch dryer to the SDAC phone operator, who said the cost would be $165 + cost of parts. Despite advertising same day service and in-home service, when the repair person turned up, they said the job would be impossible to do on this model without taking it to his workshop and charging an additional $350, and wouldn't even be able to do it on the day. We declined this and he left after being with us for only 15 minutes, refusing to work on it in house (easiest $165 he's ever made). As a side, the phone operator was given the model number so should have known it was impossible" to do the repair at home before offering us same day service in-home. Operator also never mentioned any additional costs beyond parts

They told me the call out/service fee included all labour, but then after inspecting my dishwasher attempted to charge me $180 for a part which I could buy myself from a physical shop nearby for $48. I confirmed with that shop over the phone that we were talking about exact the same part using the model number.Upon querying the price with the technician and a quick call to the office they reduced their offer to $138 but it took a firm and not particularly pleasant conversation to get them down to a more reasonable mark up on parts.The technician was lovely and the phone customer service was perfectly professional, but they clearly aren't afraid to charge a pretty penny.

First of all I would give 0 star! I use their service recommended by fisher and Paykel.I want to know it is tenant damage my dishwasher or dishwasher just go old and depreciatedThen after paying call out fee and inspection , they only give us a quotation of how much the part I need to buy but never tell me why and how it is broken and not working, chasing up for 2 months time and still Noting happen, terrible company disgraceful servicePlus they give quotation of part that is totally useless to the dishwasher because in the end of the day , Ourselves go up and fix it ourselves without chaning any partAsk them for refund and they say NO , ridiculous , pay for a service that never happenI am going to fair trading for this !!!
