St. Pauls River Cabins

This place is absolutely great, whether you intend to fish or are simply looking to relax. The cottages are beautiful, rustic luxury in one. Great hosts and the place to get in touch with nature...a real piece of Tasmania.

Worth the detour to stay a night, even if you are not planning to fish in the river (fishing rods are provided). Though the cabins are in flattish paddocks, they have views across a beautiful river to hills Suit people seeking peace and a feeling of remoteness. The two 'cabins' are in fact separate small houses. Roomy, clean, attractive timber decor, good natural light, built to a standard rather than a price. A real kitchen. Big bathroom but no washing machine. Very friendly host.

I NOW UNDERSTAND THERE ARE NEW OWNERS SO PLEASE DISREGARD THIS POSTWe booked several weeks in advance, arranged meetings in the area only to be phoned four days before that the cabins had been given to another group because they wanted a longer booking. Left us with no accommodation. Book here if you wish but its unreliable and unprofessional. Would not recommend unless you are prepared to sleep in the back of your car!

My staff & i stayed for 2 nights in the cabins which we found to be very spacious, comfortable and extremely peaceful. Both units were very well appointed with a very high standard of appliances and furniture. Since under new management these units have certainly reached a very superior standard of accomodation. Stayed here several times. Perfect place if you're looking for a tranquil setting for a night or two.No mobile networks & internet. Plenty of time to spend with family n friends.
