For those wanting to visit - check your order before handing over money!!!!I’ve been going to the Dayboro Cafe for the last 5 years and every time my experience there has been great. Recently, under new management the experience was very different. I ordered the cod and chips and the seafood basket and chips. Upon checking my order in the car I noted the portion of chips was very small. I went back with my cod and chips to question the teen behind the counter, just in case it was an error. She assured me that the number of chips was correct. I asked for a refund. When I returned with the rest of the order nobody wanted to acknowledge I was there! I had to ask two different people to process my refund. They were only too happy to take my money and deliver something that was underwhelming but it took some effort to get them to process a refund. Poor service, poor management, poor products and won’t be going back again!

First time to this cute little cafe.. the service was fast, and friendly with very down to earth staff. The salmon and salad was very fresh and served exactly how I like it, and the chips was nice and crispy. My friend ordered the work's burger and chips and she loved it! And the chicken nuggets and chips for the kid was also very decent quality. The prices was good, and there is an outside sitting area with a small kids zone. I would totally recommend this place :)

Only good thing about my meal was the chips, (they were frozen). Burger was drenched in sauce, cold, and inedible. I ordered an iced chocolate and received an iced coffee and when I sent it back to the manager she was rude, and acted as if the mishap was on my behalf. Paid for chips and didn’t receive them, so I had to chase them up. Wrong orders kept getting sent to our table multiple times. Overall, poor service and management, and below average food. Would not recommend.I saw an image of the supposed ice chocolate and it was not what mine came out like. It was a blob of ice cream sitting in full cream milk (I order lactose free) with minimal chocolate sauce. Not worth $6.50.

I recently moved to the area with my partner (who used to live here) and he said this place was the best. He's taken me here before and that first time was great. However since we moved here we've noticed that their service and quality of food has gone downhill. We've received multiple orders that were wrong and barely get a greeting anymore when we order. We keep saying we'll try once more to see if the staff has improved but each time we just get disappointed. Such a shame to see this place turn bad.

Came in on Sunday night to grab something quick for my fiancé and me, was greeted by the most heart warming smile by this young cashier, i believe her name was Ella. She was so helpful and kind, such a loving soul and was able to get me the most delicious fish n chips I've had for a while. Definitely recommend, extra tip= ask for Ella

We stopped for coffee and brunch on Easter Friday. The coffee was awful, we’re pretty sure we saw the barista make at least 2 shots from the same Tampa, and more than once. even with an extra shot added when we complained it still wasn’t right. The potato scallop was soggy and inedible. We weren’t the only people complaining about the coffee while we were there, I’d suggest the lady making the coffee was not properly trained. We left our potato scallop and the small coffee there untouched. If we were in Brisbane we’d have asked for a refund. The lady was grumpy and unapologetic when our concerns were raised, poor experience all round.

Decided to try these guys again as they are the only ones that do fish n chips in Dayboro other than the IGA. Last year we waited 2 hours for a couple of burgers so haven't used them for a year. Today we ordered 2 daggy dogs, a pineapple fritter and small chips. Half an hour later this is what we got. Not sure what happened to the missing daggy dog or the poor, burnt offering that is supposed to be a pineapple fritter. Clearly things have not improved, such a shame.

I will start by saying that the service was lovely. The fella who served me was polite and patient when I was asking questions. His customer service was exceptional. I will however, now comment on the food. As, let's be honest, that's why we were there. The WORST food we have ever attempted to eat. I use the word 'attempted' as it was something we couldn't actually accomplish. We just spent over $100 on fish, chips, prawn cutlets, whiting pieces, calamari and seafood bites. The only actual part we could stomach was approximately $5 worth of chips and the tartare sauce. Everything was so severely burnt you couldn't tell what half of it was.I am a firm believer that if you dont write good reviews for good service/food for a business, then you shouldnt write bad ones either. But this was our first time here, so I have nothing to compare it with.I really hope that your food standards come up a few notches, as awesome customer service shouldn't be wasted on terrible food.

Super cute little stop in spot. We received great service and fresh sandwiches. Would definately pop in for lunch again

The only thing worse than the manifestly excessive wait time (at least 10 people ordered after us and got food first) was the disgraceful attitude of the visibly sick child at the counter. No idea what her problem was but she was ridiculously rude when we followed up after a 45 MINUTE wait. Food was okay but majorly underwhelming for such a huge wait and terrible service experience.
