Walpole Rest Point Caravan Park
The jetty is a really cool bonus to fish off and watch the local sting rays & pelicans. Staff are lovely & the little grocery shop at reception is an absolute life saver, whether you need snacks, tomato sauce, or paper plates.Bathrooms are dated but clean and sufficient. Well lit and closed once a day for cleaning. In the camp kitchen, washing up liquid and a clean sponge were provided. We didn't use it for anything other than washing dishes, but from a glance, I think there was a kettle, microwave, full fridge, and full freezer. The kids also loved the jumping pillow. The only downsides were the campfire curfew of 10pm, due to a staff member needing to be on watch while they're lit and the absolute logs of firewood available for purchase for $20, meaning you need an axe to create more manageable firewood. Lucky our camping neighbour was happy to lend us his axe. There's heaps of kindling to collect off the ground from the trees within the park.

Great peaceful location near the water, albino ray was a highlight for kids . Is some construction going on, so obstructed view from accom. A little outdated , but price is reflective. Receptionist was lovely and very nice to talk too. Town is 10 min drive, very quiet at night.

This is a beautiful location to stay and the staff were super friendly! It was also very handy to have an EV charging point. At night it was very quiet but people did start to be noisy early in the morning such as having their radio on loud right outside our window, which woke us up. I felt that was a bit early. Can understand people packing up to leave noise but talk back radio at 7am is obnoxious - I noticed the accommodation guide only had nighttime quiet hours so maybe you could add in the morning as well? We had one of the triangle houses and it was just ok, was hard to heat up at night so found it quite cold overnight. I would come back here but would book different accommodation. We had a leaking window as well (it rained a lot) but the staff were very eager to address it so no complaints there, let them know of any maintenance issues if you have them!

Beautiful park located on water's edge. Refurbished wharf is ideal to fish from. Helpful staff. Facilities were fine. Great location to base yourself to view surrounding highlights. Eco Cruise is recommended.

Walpole Rest Point Caravan Park is a fantastic Holiday Village. Picturesque location with rolling hills meeting the calm waters of the inlet. When arriving pelicans were chilling by the jetty and birds chirping in the distance - was very welcoming. The A Frame cabin was neat, tidy, clean and spacious - everything you need is there. The check-in process was easy and the staff were friendly and accommodating - even suggesting a place to eat that night. Will definitely stay longer next time.

We stayed in our little Tear Drop camper for the first time and we were put in a lovely pot between 2 wonderful and friendly neighbours.Walpole Rest Point Caravan Park was really relaxing and my granddaughter learnt the new game of spotlight. She did not want to leave. The receptionist was so friendly. Was just a great area for our first adventure and granddaughter saw some manta rays and was searching for the elusive otter. As Arnie says we'll be back"."

Very lovely spot, about 10 minutes out of town. Very cheap, friendly staff. Was great. Lots of people staying there, must be popular.

Weather conspired against us, and it would have been lovely in fine weather. Great lake for boating and fishing and forests and bush walks would be fantastic. It is a quiret tranqilu setting and the service from staff was good. The park itself, how ere, is dated and amenities need further upgrading as does the internal roads and bitumen entry road.

The location is beautiful and the staff are immensely pleasant. But we did feel cheated by the advertising for the units online versus what we got on arrival. The website shows groups of two units. We were in Unit 6, which was crammed in among a bunch of other units at the center of all of them in a single large building with about 7 to 8 units total. This would not normally be a problem except the units lack any sort of noise suppression in the walls and have wooden floors. You could hear conversations if they were loud enough. We were treated to arguments between kids and their parents along with the sound of children stomp running up and down the units until 11PM every night of our stay. Unit 6 is unusually shaped like an L, with a single window looking out and a shared porch with our neighbours, and a sky light that allowed light into the kitchen and sleeping area. The interior of the unit was also very dated, but well kept at least.I wish I could give a better review. But if you stay in a unit, come prepared with ear plugs for a more peaceful nights sleep.
