Spencey’s Auto Repairs & Engine Reconditioning

Would absolutely not recommend & will never use again. Spent $5500.00 & car was still not repaired. Went back twice to get the engine light off. In less than 20kms the car had to be towed. They made no attempt to try & fix any further. Then had to pay $12200.00 elsewhere to get the motor replaced. Considering they’re supposed to be engine reconditioning specialists they should have been able to work out what the issue was especially when they were advised in the first it was recommended elsewhere the motor should be replaced. They also asked for their parts back that were paid for. Only nice to deal with until they get paid.

Very happy with replacement 2nd hand engine for Subaru Forester. Good engine! Price as quoted and job completed days ahead of schedule which was hugely helpful. Courtesy lift appreciated. Recommended by locals and now I know why. Thanks guys.

The Spencey's team saved our holiday. The whole team are fantastic, from the initial phone call with Jade, through diagnosing the problem, sourcing parts and completing the work.Other mechanics just didn't want to help, but the Spencey's team had us heading back to Fraser Island, relieved and happy.Couldn't recommend them highly enough, only wish their shop was here in Brisbane. Very trustworthy business. I took my box trailer in for a safety certificate thinking I needed one. They could have issued me one and charged accordingly but they did not and said I did not need one. Great honest service. Highly recommend. Thank you

These guys will give you fantastic service and make a genuine effort to help you out. If you're looking for somewhere to bring your car, definitely try them. Cannot recommend enough. Price kept coming under what I was expecting too, literally nothing to fault about the experience and leave you feeling you got value for money, very trustworthy too which is hard to find.

Couldn’t believe how honest and fairdinkum they were. Car broke down 1000 kms from home and knowing this they stayed back to fix it for me and even charged a reasonable price. Couldn’t recommend any higher

The worst mechanic I have ever came across,l found him to be very arrogant and even aggressive towards me after I took my vehicle back to him because when I got home I noticed that the fan belt was on upside down,power steering pump had not been tightened,stripped nuts on fan,removed idler tension pulley and when I questioned him on this his response was it was not needed.I then had to wait for him to replace it with one from wreckers.I took my car there to have a seal replaced behind harmonic balancer.I would not let him work on my pushbike.Totally disappointing and totally unprofessional.Definately would not recommend.Vehicle still leaked oil after job was done
