Kiama Charter Service

Kiama Charter is my ‘GO TO’ sport fishing adventure. I have been holidaying in Kiama for many years from the US and every year I book with Captain Rodney and his crew because they always put me on the fish!I respect that Captain Rodney has more than 25 years of experience and his due diligence goes a long way in taking into account the always changing coastal weather conditions, knowing when it is safe to go out, where to fish depending on the tides, and how to best advise. I've learnt better ways towards landing a bite and it's always a nice surprise to see the variety of fish species in my catch. The longer you spend on the water, the greater your chances are of getting into fish and I book the full day trip.There's nothing better than a cuppa & biscuit out on the water and I appreciate that the crew always clean my fish before I leave the boat.This year I even shouted my Bro-in-law a trip out and he is now sporting a new Kiama Charter cap for landing the biggest catch of the day.Tip - TravacalmW ToddLos Angeles, CA

Awesome trip as always. Weather was good to us. Rodney took us a long way out to chase the better quality water. We knew we were there when we had Humpback whales playing all around us. Kostalota was stopped. After a quick tutorial for half the vessel, as they had never fished before, over the lines went. Snapper came aboard in no time. Second drop hauled up a huge snapper. A lot of fish came aboard all day. Lots of variety including Snapper, various species of Perch, Morwong, Leatherjacket, Nanygai, Cod,etc. Over 100 fish all up. Thanks to Rodney, we had heaps of filleting to do. We are all still eating fish...

Rodney and Brett were excellent and very patient with some first time anglers, highly recommend them for a great days fishing!!

We had a lot of fun on the Kiama Fishing Adventure under the guidance of Rodney and Brett. We had a great result on our fishing outing this week due to their experience they have shared with us, such as where to catch certain species of fish and what bait is most suited to attract them. They also provided us with patermaster rig to cope with the reef conditions. The cups of coffees also kept us warm throughout the journey. We were very pleased with our experience with Kiama Charter. For over 3 years i've made the regular trip at 4am from Sydney Suburbs to Kiama.WHY?1. Kiama waters are pristine, less crowded and less snaggy than Sydney(no underwater cliffs)2. Variety of fish species caught, depending on weather you might end up at his signature Long Fin Perch Grounds3. Rodney hand selects uninterrupted drifts through productive reef beds.4. Fish expertly cleaned and return to the esky5. Occasional bonus - bird, whale, dolphin and seal watchingTIPS1. Sea sick tablets, there's always someone unwell.2. The more you fish the more fish you catch.3. Don't challenge the skipper, follow his instructions haha :p

I've been out with Rodney and his crew half a dozen times or so over the years and they never disappoint. Today was another awesome day, Rodney put us on to the fish and everyone went home with a decent catch.

Went fishing with these guys for my Bucks and had a great morning out on the water. Rodney and Brett showed us the best way to bait our rods and how to drop a line. They took us to various spots and the fish kept rolling in. Rodney and Brett gutted the fish, told us what they were called and sorted out the line when it got caught on something. Everyone had a great time and we enjoyed the fish we caught for dinner that night on the BBQ, a fantastic day out!
