I have been coming to this place for many years on and off. The seafood and the chips here are great, but seriously there is a female staff member or maybe owner serving here who has one of the worst attitudes towards the customers I think I have ever witnessed. She is so rude and snobby I feel like never going back there again. I don't know what happened to the excellent young boy and older guy who used to serve there but please bring them back. This woman seems to think she is superior to the people who feed her.

The fish and chips are always good but the 'plain' burger was without a doubt the best burger I've ever had. It was anything but plain with a super thick beef pattie, beetroot, cucumber, lettuce and tomato. I'll definitely be back for more.

A few weeks ago my family friend and I were shopping at Woolies in Nerang and we stopped at the Ocean Trader Seafood to buy some crab meat from the display window that we saw.The tubs we bought were a good size with a price written on it $2. We asked to taste one as we have never bought any anywhere that we enjoyed because they all tasted pretty bland. To our surprise, Ocean Trader Seafood ones that we tasted were delicious, so we bought 6 tubs.We did this for two more weeks buying 5-6 tubs and thought wow, we have finally found a place that sells good quality crab meat.Another week went buy, and this time I was on my own and I was looking to buy some fresh Barramundi fish and my 6 tubs of crab meat. I was shocked to find they had Barramundi priced at $61 dollars a kg. I asked some questions to the women serving me about the price of the Barramundi as I have never seen or heard of it being expensive, the other women worker who was standing nearby interrupted our conversation telling me that the reason why its that price is because its from the ocean. I wasn't even talking to her which really I think it's rude to interrupt a conversation that she wasn't even part of. Straight away, I knew she was making all the excuses in the world to justify the coast of their so called fresh ocean Barramundi fillets, furthermore, the fillets looked so small to the FRESH OCEAN BARRAMUNDI fillets I always buy from the SEAFOOD MARKET at Varsity Lakes (I just couldn't get to my usual seafood shop that day).I didn't buy fish that day, but I still bought 4 containers of crab meat from the display window that they had left, and asked for 2 more at $2ea (which the women worker that rudely interrupted my conversation) made up for me out the back while I waited. To my shock when I got home, the crab meat I bought were a smaller container to the previous ones I had bought a few weeks in a row.I rang them and told them I wanted to physically go in to speak to the manager (Trish) about this as I personally always like to speak to a person to talk about my concerns and just wanted to understand the principle of why this item was still the same price but in a smaller tub.Easter weekend Sunday I went in and they were closed and I could only go back the following Friday due to taking care of my elderly mum.Friday came, I went back to the store and was kindly served by a lovely man named Jeff. He was very pleasant which was really nice and courteous. I explained to him about my issue and showed him the two different size containers I had bought previously with crab meat.He told me he had thought they usually go in the big containers one afternoon when he was prepping them and the girls used the small containers as that's what they originally use. I didn't buy it.. If he did this one afternoon, why then was I buying the big containers 3 weeks in a row? I told him this and I can tell he was just trying his best to make me believe that, that's all it was.. furthermore, he said the small containers weigh the same as the big containers which I dis-agree 100%To the owner/owners of Ocean Trader Seafood.. You would get so much more LOYAL CUSTOMERS like myself come back again and again if your staff were honest and courteous. While the world has changed due to the COVID19, we would appreciate if we weren't being ripped off and be treated with respect and care.I am utterly disappointed.

Great chips and price for generous serving size, finally some fluffy thick cut chips after being disappointed elsewhere , some were a little brown but the majority we're perfect light golden and crispy , fluffy inside. Asked for lemon and was given a good serve for free as well. Good friendly and quick service too!

Some of nicest seafood quite over priced but u dont mine paying extra for quality and good service if u are getting it.After neraly 4 years of supporting this business on and off today is the last time. I may be able to count once where the staff have been happy and friendly. Clearly they must be the owners cause no one would hire them or they would be sacked for poor service. staff are rude as anything no people skills a severe lack of customer service or dealing with the public is non existant clearly relying on the passing trade from woolworths. If u enjoying supporting a local business just to be treated like garbage this is the place to go. I dont support business that dont have any customer service and treat there customers like rubbish. Such a shame after spending so much time telling the locals they are the best seafood around u can have the best seafood in nerang but rubbish service and disrespecting ur customers will always taint the food and your business it not much but this 1 customer works out to about $500 per year that u will never have back and countless others.I see ur reply and you seriously need help with customer service as u dont seam to understand tone and body language. i appoligised for moving the oyster tray and advises it might be a idea to have a more visable sign as font 10 little writting is not sufficient when a customer is looking at the seafood not the the plastic banner. Your staff member still contuined to treat me like i was stealing it tone body language and the way its deliver. I was told its common decency not to touch that i had no decency about myself. I appoligised again yet still not good enough.
