Hair Edge

Dropped in because my usual place was busy. Took the risk given some of the reviews. Very happy with the cut. The lady explained and asked questions. The result was a good haircut for $10 less than I usually pay. I'll be back.

I've been going to hair edge for while now, quite happy with the service. The staff are pleasant. I am curious though as to why your price board has no prices of services. Why is that please?

I went to Frankston hair edge today for a wash and “styled” blowwave. I asked for a bouncy curly blow wave. The lady who “dried my hair” made it really frizzy. Then another lady took over and said she left her good brushes at another salon. She said my hair is “too straight” to curl. I naturally have wavy hair and have never experienced a problem like this before when having a blow wave. She said it needs to be straight. So the option wasn’t available for what I wanted in the first place and resulted in frizzy dry straightish hair. I was really disappointed paid $65 and no where near the result I was hoping for.

I got a cut and colour.I have long hair and the woman was so rough with it. She combed from the roots then held it in the middle and practically hacked at with the comb. I actually stopped her and did it myself because she was splitting my hair and severely damaging it.The dye looked ok on the day but my first shower, without even washing it, just water touching it, had black dye running down the drain. Thank goodness I'd not been caught in the rain or my clothes would have been ruined.I now have brown patches through my hair and had to buy products (from elsewhere) to protect the hair she'd destroyed when combing it. All-in-all my hair looks worse than when I walked in there, and it cost more from having to buy products to fix the damage than it would to have gone somewhere reputable.I went to another hairdresser just for a consultation who asked me when I last got it cut and coloured and was shocked when I said, yesterday. He recommended I have treatments once a week, get another 10-15 cm cut off due to the damage (3 years worth of growth!) and then get it dyed again after it's had time to recover. I cannot express how angry I am at this!

My daughter and I had a great time getting our hair done with Sithari. She was fabulous, very patient and friendly and of course good at her work. Great value too (full head foil with very long hair + treatment) only $135. We will be back.

Great place for a Decent Haircut and Colour.. Very Reasonable and Cheap Prices.Staff are Amazing and offer Tea/Coffee. For free. lovely chats and take there time with no Rushing doing your hair Style..Will always Come here every Couple of Months for a Trim.Thanks Girls see you Soon.

I just want to point out that I have never written a review before but I want my poor decision be a warning to other people.I’ve never had any bad experiences before with walk in salons and this shop being in a prime shopping centre position i was unaware of what I was walking into.I sat down and explained that I just wanted a trim as my bob style with some slight layers was almost touching my shoulders and had few bits that looked longer than others.I explicitly said I only want about an inch taken off no more, I said I wanted light layers and a tidy up. I showed her a photo and said I want it between my shoulders and jaw line. She came back to me saying 2 inches and I reiterated that I only wanted 1 inch taken. No more.The cut was not what I wanted but a lot of the damage was being done to the back and I was unable to see it. I can’t even explain how it happened. I was told to hold my head forward which I thought was strange and at then end she used clippers on my neck. I’ve never had clippers used on me before and I was in a bit of shock.She finished up in record time and showed me the back with the mirror but it was quick and I didn’t get a good look, I also think it may have been covered up. There is no way she missed the very noticeable chunks missing at the back.I’m not a confrontational person but in hindsight I should have spoken up at the time and asked to see it better.I’m absolutely devastated, I’ve recently lost weight and I chopped my long hair off and the bob was a real confidence boost that I needed for a long time. What’s been done to my hair now has shattered me, I can’t explain how hurt I am that someone would let me walk out looking like that.I just want people to be aware when going here that you might not get what you want and could end up looking worse than you started.

My son got his hair cut and supposed to get a shave, it was very uneven and the shave was a buzz job. I called was told to come down. This was done by a female hairdresser, on Sunday we saw the man and he was great but we paid again. I don’t mind paying him but the money we paid the lady should of been returned. I want the owner to reply and contact me as this is not acceptable. Please note the owner never did respond and I will never use this place again. The guy works at more than one place and my son will see him again but not at this establishment
