Doing my second deck with abbey timber nowand love the service and quickness of delivery ! the timber also looks amazing!

We recently ordered a batch of hardwood decking from Abbey Timber. We have found their communication excellent and the product delivered was of an extremely high quality. Really friendly, knowledgeable staff and they were very accommodating to change of delivery dates to suit our building project. Highly recommended.

Our floor installer put us onto Abbey Timber and we are so glad he did. They were great to deal with, Gulsah was very knowledgeable. The engineered oak product we installed is just what we wanted and much more reasonably priced than the city company we had intended to use. We are extremely happy with the results, the flooring really has transformed our house.

Ive been in the renovation industry for years and dealt with quite a few companies, but the service and knowledge displayed from the informative staff at abbey timber was second to none. Would strongly reccomend to anyone looking for advice on timber for their own house or a clients to go and check out their state of the art show room.

Abbey are what hardware people used to be in Australia. Their a family run business with great support from the reception people through to the back room team.Their pricing on my flooring could not be beaten and the product support they gave was excellent.Delivery across town was inexpensive and they gave me a one hour delivery time slot.I highly recommend them.

Terrible customer experience, I think sales staff name was salim who was very arrogant rude and condescending when I asked reasonable questions. Furthermore due to urgency for our very small order, we purchased timber anyway and he rudely told me to come back later to pick it up as the warehouse boys are too busy for me right now. I still obliged and when I came back the timber I was given was completely different in shade and when I enquired then I was told they don’t stock the particular timber I chose in the showroom anymore. It’s a different range now. Salim should have told me that when I made the purchase but he chose not to. The warehouse team was also quite rude and unhelpful. I told them beforehand I’m bringing a standard 4wd and if the timber will fit they assured me yes. When I get there the timber is not even cut to size properly and clearly has pieces way too long for a car or even a Ute. I asked for it to be cut to size and I simply asked for some plastic to lay in my car to put the timber in and they made a fuss about it with sarcastic remarks and rude expressions. I don’t usually care enough to take the time to write negative reviews but my experience here was overwhelmingly negative. I can see the owner really cares about his customers from other responses to reviews but he should really reprimand terrible staff members instead of doing damage control on google reviews after it happens.
