Good place to visit, bridge, surrounding views, water underneath and drive in and out are all gorgeous. Worth a visit if you are near by

A great piece of engineering. There is a park underneath, lovely for a picnic. No bins, so rubbish everywhere. There are toilets as you turn off the main road. There is no camping. Great spot to see the Tamar river.

Batman Bridge
Batman Bridge, providing access between the north east and north west of Tasmania, was one of the first cable-stayed truss bridges in the world. If you’re into civil engineering, check it out when you can. It was named after John Batman, a Tasmanian pioneer and the founder of the city of Melbourne.

Good place to visit. There’s ample parking at the eastern end of the bridge, as well as picnic areas. You could walk on the bridge or get closer from down low. We also saw the bridge again when we were on a cruise. Be mindful though if you want to walk on the bridge, you will get close to the traffic amid strong wind.

Drive across an interesting bridge in the pouring rain. Wasn’t able to get out and walk it in the bad weather.

a most scenic bridge with a little park with toilets underneath it. No seats or benches, but a nice little camping spot where you're not allowed to camp.
