Tasmanian Wild Seafood Adventures

The highlight of our Tasmanian trip! expect lots of seafood and drinks.It started getting a little rainy on our trip and because the charter was operated by a commercial fishing crew, they had the experience necessary to change course slightly, ensuring that we didn’t have to endure choppy waters and yet get to see and experience everything we wanted. The crew were relaxed and full of knowledge - answering guests questions about the industry and the area. We learnt to shuck oysters, watch how sea urchins extend their suction things to anchor themselves, see a demonstration of how abalone and lobsters are removed from their shells and so much more.Like me, if you’re wondering whether or not to spend that much on a tour - having been on it, I can tell you that it was definitely worth it. There was so much food, you’ll learn a lot and have a memorable time.it was definitely the best seafood we’ve had in Australia, especially the sea urchin! We’ll be recommending this tour to all our friends when they visit Hobart.

My brother and I recently experienced the most amazing and authentic Tassie seafood experience ever! We're Tasmanians so we're used to fresh seafood however having staff dive down and collect sea creatures and then cook and prepare them for you right on deck brought freshness to a whole new level!Shane and his team were informative, personable, knowledgeable and truly professional throughout the 4.5 hour journey to the tip of Bruny Island and down the channel.I would recommend this to anyone who loves fresh seafood and wants to learn more about what the Tassie water ways have to offer.A brilliant and fun filled day on the water topped off with some fine Tassie sparkling. What more could you ask for?!

The team at Tasmanian Wild Seafood adventures were simply perfection! My husband and I booked in for the Tasmanian Seafood experience with Dan, Ben and Nick on a Friday in November. The team were friendly, professional and incredibly knowledgeable. We couldn’t believe the quality of the experience (and the quantity of the seafood!) On the 4.5hr journey, we were treated to an absolutely decadent feast of freshly cooked abalone, lobster, oyster, salmon, mussels,sea urchin and periwinkle (the last two being freshly caught wild off the back of the boat). Dan’s cooking was spectacular and would easily rival a number of chef hatted restaurants we’ve been to! We were also fortunate enough to be the only 2 people booked in for the experience in the afternoon so we had the entire catamaran to ourselves and felt like absolute royalty. At the same time, the experience felt extremely intimate as the team spent time answering all our question and we were even lucky enough to be involved in shucking our own oysters and breaking open the sea urchins. The experience was a special treat for my husband’s birthday but was worth every single dollar. Thank you for the amazing memories.

Hands down the best $$ you will ever spend. I would have paid a hell of a lot more for the quality and experience we had. This is a 5 star, world class tour. Your own diver catching fresh seafood and cooking on board is an experience not to be missed. Quality of staff and abundance of fresh seafood is next level. We could have paid half the price on other tours but that would not even come close to what this tour has to offer. Open bar was a bonus. We will be back again!!

Fantastic seafood tour of Tasmania! All of the crew were super friendly and knowledgeable.They prepare each of the different types of seafood three different ways and each course was more delicious than the next! By the end of the trip we could barely finish the lobster course we were so full!Would definitely recommend to anyone traveling to Hobart.
