Delicious Assam Laksa and Char Kwey Teow. Unfortunately Char Hor Fun is not fried and so a bit bland. Possibly too much stems in the blanchan kangkong for some tastes, but otherwise very tasty. Great service and reasonably priced. A must try in Epping.

Curry laksa was creamy with the right amount of heat. Assam laksa (on special) had a great depth of umami and tangy-ness. Would highly recommend for those who like bolder flavours. Generous servings and lovely staff!

Go for the excellent food and not for the ambience. Our first visit to this small kitchen was for lunch on a cold rainy day. One each of the seafood and chicken curry laksa arrived in quick order and were both excellent, brimming with warmth. Next time we'll try assam laksa which we understand is joyful also.

Fairly decent Malaysian food. Third visit here. Pricey. We had the lunch special this time - ordered the Nasi Goreng and Chicken Laksa ($14.5 each). The ‘lunch special’ is essentially a smaller portion of the same thing on the menu.Chicken laksa was pretty decent. Broth was tasty. Generous amount of noodles but could do with a little more protein.Nasi Goreng was meh. Tasty but the rice was really mushy and soggy - definitely did not use day old rice.

Latest review:Food still very nice and probably better than before. Laksa was good but missing sth I don't know what. The restaurant was crowded on a week night. But again, not cheap for a Malaysian dining.Old review:What I like about this place is that they're family-run business. Seems like every family member has their own role and they do their best to impress. Nice characteristic of this business. Although the store is slightly hidden away from the shops along the main road, people seem to be able to find their way to here. Hence it tells about their quality and how well they're building their business.Ok food wise, not the best malay i've had. Their chicken rice was good and in a decent size but i found their laksa a bit blend. They have quite a wide range (from small dishes, entree, side dishes, mains to deserts) for the size of their kitchen, hence that's pretty impressive. We ordered stir fried water spinach as a side and it was great too.Price-wise is decent for the area. Considering that there's not much Malaysian restaurants around this area, it's worth a visit. :)

Average food with a BIG price tag ! Tried Beef Rendang which was very watery and beef tased Baking Soda to soften meat. It was very different from typical Malay Rendang which should be tender beef in rich sauce from long hours of sautéing, simmering. The kitchen looked dirty with rags lying around floor near water tank. This costed me $37.50 for one serve - when I asked to recheck, the owner told me the beef prices are high... .... It was a big RIP- OFF, and should be half that especially in a little take-away joint. Anyway, THAT WAS MY LAST VISIT TO THE PLACE.

It's authentic ! Chicken Horfun was really good and the horfun is like the ones u get from Ipoh. The CKT is by far the best we tasted in sydney and it has lark and wok hei. The hokkien mee taste good and just the noodles could be thicker. We love the serving size and will come back for more!
