Unbeatable non-dairy selection. One whole third of their icecream bays is dedicated to non-dairy options - amazing sorbets, and unbelievably good plant-based icecream creations. Really really good and vegan. Affordable and with friendly staff who look like they love working here.

They have a great range of ice-creams and sorbets. The Peanut Butter Choc Chip Cookie Dough ice-cream that I had today was amazing!!! There were so many large chunks of cookie dough. The slight saltiness of the peanut butter complimented the sweetness of the ice-cream really well. The scoop sizes were pretty big as well. They make nice milkshakes here too.

What an excellent selection for those who require dietary specifics (dairy free)!! The incredibly helpful staff (Ryan & Maylen/Marla, I'm sorry I forgot her name! Please help me correct this mistake) were very generous with their time with us while still juggling at least 4 deep waiting line of customers. The spacious inside and outside areas always allowed freedom of movement. Staff that are personable while also extremely knowledgeable of flavour combinations and dietary requirements make this location and business a standout. Clearly the customers there today had returned multiple times which is a fantastic sign.

Fantastic ice creamery. We stopped by for dessert after having dinner next door and we’re not disappointed. $7.50 for a waffle cone with two generous scoops with a wide selection of delicious sounding flavours. Ice cream was super creamy with a great balance of flavours and ingredients. Great little seating area outside to enjoy your dessert and they’re open until late. I understand why the line was out the door when we arrived!

There are so many choices of icecream and gelati at the Augustus Gelatery ranging from the staple to the atypical. The customer area has an inside eating area and an outdoor courtyard with plenty of COVID safe distance between tables. Chocolate flavour is incredible, as is the lemon. Mint chocolate was a little disappointing.

An Italian style Gelateria in Ferntree Gully! We have a winner. On Burwood Hwy Upper Ferntree Gully you will find Augustus Gelatery. Heaps of flavors to choose from and please every taste. Having tried samples of their chocolate, nuts and fruit based gelati, I could not fault them. All were rich in flavors and ultimately yummy. You don't need to wait for the hot weather for a gelato. Right now is a good time, and Augustus Gelatery is a great spot for a treat.
