Ballarat Gas & Plumbing are the plumbing firm we trust. We have used them for several years.My call may not always be answered immediately, but I'm never on hold long.Contacting some tradesmen, who answer calls to their mobiles can often be frustrating!! My call usually goes straight to voicemail and I have to leave a message giving my name, number and reason for my call; then I have to hope it won't be too long till he/she returns my call. This can be minutes, hours, days and some never return calls.The person most likely to answer your call at Ballarat Gas & Plumbing is Karen. She is very easy to deal with and understands when a problem needs urgent attention. She will book your job in asap and at a time that is convenient for your schedule.Their plumbers have always arrived at our home on time which is important to me. They have never not turned up. They are always well presented and very respectful and pleasant to deal with. They have always brought whatever parts and equipment they've needed with them and they don't take longer than they need to to carry out the work, which keeps the cost of labour down.They use drop sheets when required and then clean up when they are finished.The usual reason for contacting them is to arrange for our gas heaters to be serviced, however we have had them do other work including repair & service of our gas, storage hot water unit, which after many years we had replaced late last year with an instant gas hot water unit. Ballarat Gas & Plumbing supplied, fitted and organised an electrician as well for the task. I only had to make one call and they took care of the rest. Brilliant service!!We have always been happy with the standard of work carried out by the plumbers they employ and are particularly impressed with work Trevor has done for us. Prior to using this company we had 3 other plumbers attempt to fix a problem we had with one of our heaters. None were able to fix the problem, although they still invoiced us for their attempts. It only took Trevor a few minutes to diagnose the problem and fix it!!! Yeh!!!The plumbers they employ always make us aware when then is more than one solution to a problem we have, in order to give us the chance to make an informed decision about which way to go. They never carry out work that isn't needed just to increase the invoiced amount. Eg. We have hardly ever used one of our two heaters, so even thought I booked both heaters in for a service this week. Trevor did a safety check on both but only fully serviced the one we use frequently.Customers are informed how much the call out and service fees are prior to deciding whether to book in.Accounts staff are happy to send your detailed invoice electronically or post you out a hard copy. They provide the full range of payment options so you can pay which ever way is most convenient for you, and they provide you with a receipt number or hard copy if you preferThe service provided by Ballarat Gas & Plumbing is excellent and I'm not surprised they're busy. Definitely give them a call.

My hot water service stopped working. Due to covid I had a lot of trouble getting hold of a plumber. Ballarat Gas & Plumbing were recommended from other plumbers and were available. They came out when they said they would and I was given fair and reasonable options to move forward including replacing the part and two replacement options: gas storage system or gas instant. I went for the instant system given the age of my old hot water service. This required an electrician to install an outdoor powerpoint in addition to modifications to gas and water pipework. They organised everything including the electrician. Everyone turned up on time and the job was done within one hour which was quite amazing. The Rinnai system installed works fantastic. Everyone tidied up well afterwards which I appreciate as nobody wants a flat tire from a loose screw on the ground. Best of all the bill I received came in less than the verbal quote. In my experience if you go with these guys they are friendly to deal with and show up on time which is rare in my view. When they walk away from the job the quality of the work that has been done will speak for its self and you will be glad you chose them. I have attached a photo of the new system.

These guys have been really great for us, every single person whose come to our house has been lovely, polite, helpful, friendly. The women on the phones are just as lovely. We will be going back to them for all our gas and plumbing needs from now on.

Came out and reviewed the job before quoting, fair quote and completed job within the same week. Pleasant and professional, would recommend to anyone. (The job was..disconnect and remove old stove and install new cooktop in benchtop, and connect dishwasher)

Nick was great and I can’t believe how much better the water pressure is and how easy the tapes turn on and off. Highly recommend great service great hair!!
