I enjoyed eating at this place. Food was great. Must try the calamari, well fried and have a nice texture. White bait was good but a little too heavy on the salt. The bahn mi was great with the ham made from fish and the pate was also made from fish liver.

I don’t think there can be a ‘wrong’ option here - every item in the menu looks amazing and carefully crafted. Had the charcoal grilled fish and I could say it’s my favourite ‘Fish and Chips’ in Sydney.I also wouldn’t be surprised if people come here just to get the hand cut sebago chips!! They’re so divine and I couldn’t have asked for a more, better hand cut chips.Love all the love and work put into each dish & each fish for sure!!—[email protected] for reels

Finally got to try the charcoal grilled fish n chips and they were amazing! fish cooked perfectly- that skin, so good! there's a lot of care that went to preparing the fish, it was so clean! I would have liked another piece of lemon and a little bit of seasoning (salt) on the white flesh part of the fishThe chips are so moreish and perfect accompaniment to the fishService wise, the cashier was a bit dismissive and seemed in a hurry (though there weren't anyone else waiting behind us at the time) and since it is 'take away' only, would've liked to be offered some cutlery, rather than having to come back to ask for itDespite that, we would definitely go back just so we can try other items on offer such as the lasagna and fish pieWe recently tried its sister store, Charcoal Fish, and we prefer the OG store

Dine in, had the grilled fish and chips and a side of potato scallops. The fish was a bit over cooked and tough. The chips and potato scallop were very nicely done, crispy on the outside and soft in the middle. Their tomato sauce is awesome with the chips, with a hint of sweetness. Pretty disappointed - the fish was definitely fresh and well perfectly cooked and battered - I love the flakey batter!However the chips were overly salted to the point where it tasted bitter, additionally I seemed to just gotten a lot of broken/left over pieces of chips in my batch - see photo.

Lovely fresh oysters, shucked to order. The staff are knowledgeable on the differences between the oysters available.Nice fish selection.Can order cooked food, they have a couple of gluten free options too. You'll have to ask re: gf as it's not flagged on their menu.

The Mooloolaba yellowfin tuna burger was so tasty and the original burger was also a top choice with the bacon add on.High quality and great service. The concept to prevent fish waste is very interesting to know just how much is not used. Glad to have visited

Finally, we made it to this seafood heaven and this is not a traditional fish and chips shop.Winning dishes:yummy charcoal grilled tuna double cheese burger with smoked murray cod bacon.Hot&numbing corner inlet calamari, so crispy beats amy salt pepper calamari from anywhere we else we ate before.Buttermilk fried NZ blue eye trevalla sandwich.Regular crumbed fish&chips.Seafood was fresh, cooked perfectly and just amazing flavour. ❤️❤️❤️it. Missing from picture - mooloolaba sword fish schnitzel sandwich.Definitelywill come back for more and I wish they have something similar in north shore.
