Very quick service from Caleb, several options given and a lot of patience and understanding from him regarding payment. The problem was identified within an hour and set up to be fixed the same day.

So we had an issue with our hot water system not working. As it was a Saturday we panicked a bit and sought out a 24/7 plumbing company. Upside Down Plumbing/Metropolitan Plumbing came up. We didn't read the reviews at first but then I decided to after booking them and it raised some concerns. I did some research on what it would cost to replace a thermostat and PRV valve and it said $300. I kept this in mind. We were given a 3 pm to 6pm window but technician didn't attend until closer to 8pm. The technician was lovely and friendly and we had no issue with their customer service. However, when he started quoting prices to repair my ears pricked up. To change a thermostat was $1500 and to replace the hot water system $6,000. They rely on people in a panic and caught in a corner. However, I would prefer to have cold showers than pay such an exorbitant fee. We cancelled their works and did not go with them. We contacted our local plumber who almost fell off his chair with the prices. He said that to replace the valve and thermostat it'd be $400 and a brand new hot water system $1800. So it's caveat emptor people. Do not be scared into making rash purchases and decisions. We went with our gut and said no as it didn't sound right. Technician was lovely but the company needs to have a good hard look at its pricing and ethical standards. Do not use this company it's a rort.

Avoid these guys at all costs. Absolute rip off. Tried to charge $6,200 plus GST for a hot water system replacement on top of the Jim's Plumbing call out fee of $140.The system was replaced by another reputable plumber for $1,850 plus GST.When the quote was emailed and rejected they had the nerve to try and charge a further $690 for doing nothing.

Such a rip off!!!! Do not use them, they are part of that Metropolitan group. They were on A Current Affair for ripping off another pensioner couple!!!! If I knew they were the same company I would have never used them!!!!!!My pensioner parents needed someone to come out and fix a gas leak. The guy couldn’t even find all the gas leak, which is pretty pathetic. He destroyed their house then got up and left. We had to pay for everything upfront as well, which was almost $2500. How do you all sleep at night????? I wish I could give zero stars because that’s what u all deserve!!!!!!

$2419 for 1.5hrs work! To change bath plugsI rang another plumber and got it fixed for $285Down right pathetic AND A RIPOFF!WHAT EVER YOU DO!DO NOT PAY UPFRONT!!Also look at all the 5star comments! No likes because no one shares that experience ! Look at all the negative experiences and how many likes they got !!!!

This company should be investigated. They were a service through Jim’s plumbing. They came 2.5 hour after the time that they gave. The technician just checked that the hot water system was not producing any hot water and then gave a $8000 quote to supply and install a $1000 hot water system. He explained that their charges were due to them being an emergency, after hours, 24hour service. I called for a plumber at 9:00am.
