Lake Clarendon Campground

Love this place. A regular go to. The sunsets are spectacular. Lots of bird life. Can get boggy if it is raining. Nice grassy areas to camp on. Toilet onsite is foul due to being a composting toilet, so BYO toilet. Great day use area with undercover seating.

Loved this camp...Free for 48 hours pull up no bookings and start camping.Great lake views, unfortunately I believe no swimming as it's a bit icky but great for kayaking.Plenty!! Of spots to set up your tent etc or to park your camper, 3 shaded gazebos and a free to us BBQ.Plenty of rubbish bins around and a toilet block with composting toilets and hand basins.Wheel chair access as well"Sit back with a cold one and watch the stunning sky as the sun goes downGreat location only 10 minutes from Gatton if you need anything."

Convenient stop over safe and peaceful.Dog friendly , there are rubbish bins and clean toilets .

A peaceful 48-hour location for the self-sufficient camper. There are plenty of birds and turtles to spot. Even saw the occasional snake, so take care. The mountain scenery and surrounding farmland is lovely to view. The water levels do fluctuate, but currently, it is at 93%, so paddling, shorefishing, and kayaking is possible. A great free camp!

I stayed here to try out the free 48hr camp ground in 2021. Convenient location for a restful sleep. Very quiet area, with no highway traffic noise whatsoever. It was raining both nights I stayed so no night sky review yet. During the day there are some shady areas to sit at with rare birds nesting in the trees. Lots of frogs around everywhere. A few shaded picnic tables, pit toilets, no showers or power in the amenties block. Internet and phone was inaccessible. No tents but other car campers also on a long drive, plus a couple of caravans. A very nice emergency spot for sleeping. Extremely quiet, safe and peaceful. Nobody hassled me at all. Surrounded by farmlands with cows & Lake Clarendon only a short drive away.

Such an awesome place to spend the night. Right next to the lake. The sunset was absolutely insane. Not very busy. Plenty of space for everyone. No road noise at dark. A bit of mosquitoes bit nothing too bad.

Swans around and birdlife. Fairly quiet from road noise. Great spot
