We were introduced to this gem by a couple of friends who took us out to dinner last night. A great selection of traditional Japanese food to share and a nice selection of fantastic Japanese beers. Even though the restaurant was quite busy, we could still easily have a conversation without yelling at each other. Huge bonus for us, almost the whole menu is gluten free. A really enjoyable experience.

I was very keen to eat at Bird's Nest for a while now as it was on my list of places to go to. I am happy to say it met all of my expectations of a place that does proper yakitori grill. The grilled Wagyu rice bowl and chicken tail skewers are cooked to perfection. The highlight was definitely the chicken tail skewers for me, you have to order one if you are here. Everything else was great as well and very reasonably priced. The skewers are small servers so you might need to order few and it can get expensive pretty quickly. I definitely recommend you check this restaurant out.

Had previously been to the Birds Nest in West End Brisbane and really enjoyed it. The Fortitude Valley restaurant was just as great. Food, service and atmosphere were really good and we all had a great time.

We dine at Birdsnest FV often and it’s never a disappointment. Love this place so much we came here for my very last min bday dinner with a group of 6.The team here is amazing, always look after us so well and treat us like family.Thank you sharing my bday with me.The food was DELICIOUS!

Came here twice on our visit to Brisbane and just couldn’t get enough of the yakisoba and soy fried rice balls (yes, try the one with cheese!) The plum cocktail quickly became a favourite! The cherry garnish is delicious! Staff were really nice and attentive. A great dining experience overall (:

Enjoyed coming here for a catch up dinner with a group of friends. Next time I would probably opt for a set instead because I ordered myself way too much food.The restaurant itself is really well decorated and love that the servers acknowledge you Japanese-style when you enter.The food was really yum and ordering was through their online system. A little bit on the salty side for my liking on some dishes but nicely charred and delicious. The cocktails were also really good

Food is delicious. Watching the chef manage the grill was impressive. Staff are friendly, service was quick.Was able to order through the waiter rather than the QR code which is a preference I really appreciate as it makes it more personable

From the street front this Japanese Restaurant seems very unassuming - I soon realised a design intention from the beginning. Once you open the doors you get a wonderful warm feeling and the atmosphere and decor is a modern version of an authentic Yakitori Bar. The staff were friendly and food arrived promptly. We thoroughly enjoyed everything - the highlights were the “Jacks Creek” Wagyu, the “Willi Willi Creek” Pork Belly and the “Wombok Salad”. Ohhhhh the salad - it is so moreish - I think the salt level is perfect without the bonito flakes but you decide.Amazing value for the quality - this place is your new weekly must have.
