Great Eastern Hotel Motel

Went for dinner. Place is waiting for Gordan R. To visit. Didn't take photo as it may have broken my phone!

Not a bad feed, would go back and recommend. This mixed grill was 22.50 and the rest of the menu is quiet cheap as well.

This is the third time eating at the bistro and the food is always lovely and really fresh. Prices and staff are great too!

Dirtiest pub I've ever stepped foot in. Publican is a slob. Cockroaches near the dining room are bigger than tip cats. Holes in walls , filth all over the place. Had to take own mixers to have a drink and the dirty slob still charged top dollar. Health department should step in. Room s upstairs leak into shops down stairs. Tetinus shot and a good scrub down with bleach is recommended on exiting the premises.

The room was so grotty we decided to keep driving.Opening the door to room 12, the first thing we noticed was the bad smell. Then the dirty condition of the bed spreads and carpet.A look at the shared bathrooms was the final straw.As all the other locations in town were booked out, we drove over an hour and a half to Wagga Wagga to stay with a friend rather than wanting our bodies to lie on those beds.I've stayed in a great number of pubs and motels from the early 1980s, when I was working in the music industry, but this was about the worst I can recall. In fact, if you took one of the poorer ones from then and didn't maintain it till now, you'd have this place.I just couldn't imagine getting drunk enough to want to sleep here. In fact, the footpaths and gutters outside in the street looked cleaner and smelled much better

Amazing service and great food!The Cook in the Bistro, Vicki is always friendly, entertaining and makes an excellent meal. Had the best snitty tonight at a great price. Will be back for sure :)

My meal was inedible. Pork crackling was cold and resembled a fossil or dried dog treat. Vegetables were over cooked and had obviously been reheated. I ate one slither of carrot and then decided not to risk getting sick. Need drastic improvement.

I was so grateful that the lovely man behind the bar found a room for us when our other booking fell through.I was reassured by our host's highviz jacket with covid safe official" emblazoned on the back. He pulled a good beer and equally good vodka which gave us some good Dutch courage to get up the slightly spooky stairsThe room was not the 5 star plush you softies expect from city hotels but was comfortable and clean. There were no bed bugs at all and the modular ensuite was a salute to 1972
