Trek Larapinta

We did the end to end Lara trail with Lani and Morgan as our guides. It was a memorable experience which exceeded my expectations. The scenery was remarkable and the walking was hard and, at times, quite a challenge. The guides were brilliant and they really did make the trip special. They were careful, supportive, knowledgeable, inspiring and generous, as well as being terrific cooks! The positive impacts from this trip will stay with me for life. I am so glad I took it on.

Completed the 6 day Trek Larapinta, fantastic scenery, an abundance of great food prepared by our excellent Guides, good campsite with swags for sleeping under the stars option. We loved it.

The whole tour was expertly organised and a big shoutout to our fabulous guides, Sharna and Miranda.One downside: although the website specified a good fitness level required, and we met that criteria, because we could not have walked and climbed the more challenging sections at the same speed as the rest of the group, it was just not practical for us to get through those sections in the hours allowed. It would have held our tour guide back while we took the extra hour or two. Consequently we couldn't walk the longer sections. It is a disappointing oversight in Trek Larapinta’s promo and the description given in its advertising, to not make customers aware of the need to be able to walk and climb this fast.

My spirit is still soaring with the whistling kites, brimful of precious memories and reflections of my time on the Trek Larapinta 9 day walk.Such powerful Country, bursting with vibrancy, color, life in all forms - the walk was an astonishing overview that captured the rich diversity of a terrain that is, honestly, incapable of being captured in (English) words.Our small group was superbly cared for and guided by our exceptional, professional super duo guides - Lilly and Angus - so attuned to this place and its pulses and cultural sensitivities.I acknowledge the Arrernte, the traditional custodians and Elders past present and emergent, of this astonishing land and pass on my deep respects and gratitude for safe passage. An absolute privilege.

Trek Larapinta gave my sister and I an amazing 3 days on the trail. Our guides, the food, the campsite, the great organisation and the trail sections chosen were all A1, top notch. Having a small group of 8 was so enjoyable and wonderful bonds were made. Extremely impressive was just how much of this incredible trail we got to hike in only 3 days, each section chosen allowed us to experience so much variety. I highly recommend and trust Trek Larapinta to give a trek that is magnificent in every way. You will be challenged, be rewarded and feel totally accomplished.

Just completed the 16 day Trek Larapinta end to end experience and it was epic, tough, magical and awesome to list just a few of the many adjectives I could use. Our guides Miranda and Sharna were two of the most capable superwomen I have ever come across. Early on we came across a solo hiker who was lost and calling out to us and Miranda scampered up a near vertical rockface to bring her down safely. This was on the same day one of our group was dealing with a medical issue that needed to be resolved and Miranda calmly radioed in for assistance resulting in Sharna running 4km along the trail to bring what was needed. If this wasn't enough they then cooked up a storm (like they did every night) taking it all in their stride. These women are amazing individuals, funny, full of energy, great cooks (Sharna's vegetable lasagna is to die for!) knowledgeable and can handle pretty much anything I am certain.The trail itself is unforgettable and challenging. Can highly recommend the end to end trip to become totally immersed in nature - no screens, no news, campfire chats, early starry nights and mornings, the perfect way to re-charge, re-set and re-establish what really matters in all sorts of ways.Thank you Miranda, Sharna and Trek Larapinta.

I did the 9 day Larapinta trek with them a week ago and everything was amazing: the guides, the two camps, the food, and, of course, the landscape. Mentally I am still out there. Full marks for everything!

Really good. Our guides, Tory and Riley, were very knowledgeable and loved the country. We appreciated them very much. Their cooking was superb for us vegetarians. I mean superb! Lovely camp, all needs catered for, hiking schedule adjusted smartly according to the weather. Couldn’t have been happier. First rate!

We went on the Super 6 with Trek Lara Pinta. Cannot recommend this company more highly. The small group size, outstanding food and equipment and most of all knowledgeable thoughtful, supportive guides meant we totally enjoyed this challenging adventure.
