The hikes through the rainforest here are amazing!! We even saw a cassowary. The long hike is quite arduous, so don't set out on it if you don't have on good shoes for hiking. And take the bus! You really can't walk to the start of even the short trailhead. This place is prehistoric! It is amazing. Best hike we did in our stay in Australia.

I went on the 2.2 km circuit hike during the rain. It was spectacular to hike in warm weather with warm rain falling down. Even though it was quite heavy, it was lovely to have most of the trail to myself. The trek isn’t too strenuous & I saw a few families with children. A shuttle bus takes you from the car park / visitors center to the steps of the trail in under 5 minutes. The trail itself was home to many spots to jump in the river, scenic lookout platforms, & mini waterfalls. After the hike I picked up some cool head wraps from the visitors center & then ate at the cafe. I had the yam chips & barramundi spring rolls & they really hit the spot. Staff were super friendly & helpful. Thank you!

Nice half day trip from Cairns. Ideally it's a no swim zone in the Mossman river, but hey it's too hot out there and river water is was no cool. Sometimes then current(speed of the flow) is high, just be careful not to go deep inside.Treks are really awesome.

We did the Dreamtime Tour with Santos as our guide. It was exceptional. Santos was knowledgeable and engaging. The tour is a must do.

A lovely information centre and was great to sit beside the rainforest at the Cafe. We were disappointed that the advertising material led us to believe there would be some forest walks to do at no charge.. but that was not the case. Bus tickets must be bought. Wasn't keen to get in busy bus with covid still around. Please have visible signage and pricing.

Nice place if you like walking in the rainforest. The circuit track is 2km long but feels longer than that (at least moderate difficulty), especially if accompanied by younger kids, so parents beware!

We arrived late in the day after spending most of the day at a local zoo. We only had an hour, so we elected to take the bus up. You could walk it, but out of respect for the local indigenous people it is recommended to take the bus. The views on the short route were great. We were told the longer walk is just a walk through the jungle with limited views of the river. Overall it was worth it.

I personally didn’t impress much the circuit walk. It’s beautiful but didn’t think it’s special and especially its not worth to pay $15 for bus ride. Probably best to come with family or friends who wants to swim and spend few hours. I can go somewhere and see similar views and atmosphere.

Although things were closed down because of flooding that weekend, we still have a fun time exploring the area on foot by ourselves. This cultural Centre itself is pretty nice too. There’s a cafe and the gift shop with a lot to look through, as well as some really nice aboriginal art, I recommend coming here on your way through to the gorge, especially if you need a place to rest up.
