Lake Fyans Holiday Park

Lake Fyans Holiday has changed so much since the last time our family visited. The cabin we had was adequate but was definitely not accessible for my disabled and elderly father. I believe there isn't a single cabin on the site that is handicapped friendly, which is ashame as it will stop families with wheelchair bound relatives from enjoying Lake Fyans.Disposing of your rubbish is a difficult affair with the majority of the parks bins were chained shut. The only accessible bin was near the pool and it was stuffed to overflowing.We were given conflicting advice about dogs being allowed in the park. We were told no dogs allowed only to see quite a few on leashes with their owners in the park.The staff were friendly (except for 2 who were extremely opinionated and upset my young Grandson very much).I'd love to give everything 5 stars, but unfortunately it's just not warranted.

Such an enjoyable 2 night stay here as first time visitors to the region. The ‘budget cabin’ was comfortably spacious, spotlessly clean, and well supplied with all you need in terms of kitchen utensils, crockery and pots and pans. There is also an oven, microwave and bar size fridge. Beds were very comfortable with good quality linen, and the water pressure in the shower was great. This was greatly appreciated after all the walks and mountain hikes we did each day. The location is lovely, situated on Lake Fyans and there is many activities for children available too. The park location is an excellent base for visiting nearby Halls Gap. Exceptional customer service provided with their communication since booking, and compliments to staff members Col and Leighann who are so friendly and helpful. Highly recommend, and look forward to returning!

The park was clean and tidy. But wouldn't recommend staying here more than 1 night. Lots of extra surcharges. Would only recommend staying if you want to stay inside your caravan and not with a family.

We had a lovely stay here, the owners were so friendly, will definitely be back, a lovely peaceful place, clean and well looked after, great place for a break ..

Very nice and serene, clean and tidy, until the weekend when the entitled come to nest, management unwilling to assist. Take a torch when going to the ammentities at night, no lights in ammenties are turned on??, I can only guess power management.

DO NOT STAY HEREWe came in a big group, during off peak and in winter. 2 cabins and 3 unpowered sites with 15 people.There was no indication when booking that the camp kitchens, toilet blocks and majority of the camp site would be closed off for use. The jumping pillow was also no in use, which was disappointing for the kids.Fires had to be put by 11pm even when on a concrete pad, using their fire pits and had nothing but dirt around.We had a professional fire fighter with us who could provide no reason to justify their strict rules.There is no internet so we didn’t have our phones on us and had lost track of time, Janine came past at 11.15 pm and was extremely rude demanding we put out the fires, they also had had a dog that was growing and lunging at us. When we said we felt unsafe and could they please call their dog off, they laughed at us and yelled at us for trying to defend ourselves against a dog that we felt was about to attack us, They also complained that we had 2 fires even though we had 3 sites booked and needed the fires to cook food and provide warmth. All the bins expect one was locked so just trying to dispose of rubbish was difficult and frustrating.The park is lovely but the managers absolutely ruined it for us and we will not be back!!! Wish we had read the reviews as there are so many more all with complaints about the managers and their horrible behaviour!!!

Other than the location, this place is horrible. Wifi doesn't work as it's not enough to serve at least half of the people and the signal doesn't reach the cabins.There's an issue with water, which you won't see if you book Theo 3rd party websites.The staff is extremely stingy with supplies. E.g. there's no handwash in the kitchen. When I asked for one, the woman in the reception seems surprised that people use handwash and also said that they are cutting down on single use plastics. Ironically all their other shampoos were in single use plastics.

Fantastic location, this was our very 1st caravan trip. Robyn and park owner Jenin were very happy to assist us with parking and made sure we had a good time. Will be back!

Been a few years but was nice to have a lake to swim in for a couple of days, with camping not far from the waters edge, with the grampians silhouetted in the background.
