Whenever I travel, I spend a lot of time researching restaurants. Hunter Valley is well known for having great restaurants. I selected two, and both were Great!!!! Without doubt, this restaurant deserves every possible accolade. Wow! This is a fantastic restaurant. Every course in the price fixed menu was delicious and amazingly complex. I am a pretty good home cook, but in no way can I make food like this.The courses are too complicated to describe here, so I attach photos.The place is small and intimate. We sat at the bar, and it was marvelous to watch them cook and prep plates. Honestly, this place is wonderful. They were happy to answer our questions...we learned all about finger limes...we had never heard of them before. I would go up to Hunter Valley just to eat here!!

This was my third time revisiting this restaurant, but each and every time has been phenomenal and I'm always excited to come back! The ever changing menu is stunning, the mix and match of flavours all just work so well, and the presentation - absolutely beautiful. The service was impeccable, the attention to detail was on point and the relaxed ambience with muted lights and dark tones of the restaurant decor meshed well to make it feel special, and for us, it was a wonderfully romantic dinner date. I must also mention, they accommodated for lactose free dishes which, I was told, were equally delicious. Looking forward to dining here again.

Wonderful experience, our favourite fine dining in Hunter Valley in intimate and relaxed atmosphere. We were first at Exp several years ago and have been meaning to go back - finally had the chance to do so and we’re very happy that it lived up to our recollections and maintained its excellence since first visit. Recommend sitting at the bar where you can see the team plating up the food and some of the cooking techniques. Makes it a bit more informal and fun. Matched wine had some very interesting finds, we Googled a few of the bottles as they sounded so intriguing.

Came here to celebrate an anniversary. The restaurant only offers a set degustation menu.I was very impressed. The food was phenomenal. I really enjoyed their use of the hibachi grill as well, my top 3 dishes that night were all the ones cooked on that.There was also the option of adding on their special which was a grilled ocean trout fish collar 10/10. You can also opt to add on their house made magnum" - the flavour changes

11/10 for the food and service. In addition to flavour, texture and temperature is a huge thing for me. All the food was superb. All the service was friendly and I loved being tucked in the corner and being able to watch all the food prep. Flawless dining experience for our 16th Anniversary. Definitely plan to go again.

Very impressive dinner menu with immaculate service. We sat at the chef table which is highly recommended as you are able to enjoy the process of cooking and plating. Wine menu was great.

LOVE EXP.Recently visited EXP for dinner with a friend and we were wowed with both the food and service.We had the dinner tasting menus plus matching wines.Favourites were the mushroom dish and the duck salami.If you’re looking for a wow experience, definitely book EXP.

The best dinner in the Hunter Valley! The restaurant was cozy but chic and quiet small so the staff was super attentive and nice.The food was spectacular, the snacks were the best we have had in Sydney so far (and we visit a lot of fine dining restaurants). The staff was attentive, professional and very friendly.Overall it’s a must try if you are visiting the Hunter Valley and are looking for a nice place for dinnerThanks so much for the experience
