Terrible, ever since Caitlin left and obviously a few others, also under new management , it’s been bad.I did give them 3 months , or 3 times as being fair to see if they do any better, but it’s been bad.Apparently full grooming now consists of only bathing, drying and cutting, no more ear hair cleaned, no nails clipped .Everywhere else a full groom is a Full Groom and was included in the past, why not now?Still paying the same, if not more with less services. Also the groomer was screaming at my dog which I heard from outside while walking past, and also my friend and brother both walking past heard her screaming at him again, different time.Excuse was ,she might have been having a bad day, poor excuse.Won’t be going back ever again, I’m sad as my dog was going there every month for nearly 3 years, he’s nearly 4, with no problems before this.

This is a great groomer. Great service, and very caring staff. Well organised with reminders and follow ups. Our boy Murphy loves going here.

I've been taking my medium Labradoodle Mr. Peanut to diggity Dog groomers in Port Melbourne since he was 13 weeks old (Jan 2019). We paid $120 and he had a groom every 6-8 weeks. That was until October when I had to bring Mr. P to the vet to be put to sleep and have his ears plucked. Even the most basic package at Diggity said they clean ears. Well, obviously not. Since October we'd been grooming him at home. I'd heard wonderful things about Murphy's paw but also that you have to book well in advance (a good sign IMO). So he had his first groom today and he looks and smells amazing. One of the best grooms he's ever had for...wait for it...$110! we're never going anywhere else. Shout out to Elisha at MP for giving Mr. P an amazing groom! 6 stars!

Go for it. A bone-breath of fresh meaty-dog air in Port Melbourne. Do not roll over and choose the local travelling outfit around here - you all know who I'm torq'n about - AKA the world's worst dog groomer - you'll come out crushed. Crushed and ruined. Don't do it.Go to Ange. He's the bomb. Or maybe she's the bomb. Who cares? Fast, efficient, reliable and no-fuss.Woof Woof from Max (Bone Breath).

I recently had my Cocker Spaniel groomed at Ange Pet Salon and am less than happy with their service. Although I was able to book my dog in for a groom the following day which was very convenient, the standard of cut was very poor and I was charged 25% more than I was quoted. When I booked my dog in for the cut, I stated it was a Cocker Spaniel and I would like a standard Cocker Spaniel cut, I was quoted $105-$115. I had washed my dog less than a week earlier and on the morning of the cut I brushed out and removed every bit of matted hair and cut out all knots/dreadlocks.When I picked my dog up, I was told it was $145!!! When asked why, the manager stated that it was because of excessive dreadlocks and matted hair. I told him that was impossible and asked for further explanation. He said it was because I wanted a standard Cocker Spaniel cut which required extra scissor work and brushing. When I said I was quoted $105-$115 and they knew it was for a Cocker Spaniel the manager said it did not matter. (I did ask them to leave the dogs top knot which was the only variance to a standard cut).I paid and left, and after leaving saw they had missed cutting a big section of hair near the dogs tail. They rectified the tail issue, however when I got home I realised they had not stripped the dog of dead hair either (see attached photo) which I did myself. The manager said he did not care what I had been quoted, and refused to charge only the quoted price.Needless to say I will never go back to Ange Pet Salon in Port Melbourne.

When you are the best you need to make sure you book in advance - especially for weekends, just like any good hairdresser :) The staff are always friendly and love your dog almost as much as you. Very clean and great holding facility. They are a little on the pricey side yet you pay for what you get. Highly recommend.

I just brought my Cavoodle for a groom and it was the biggest mistake I ever made!!!! The worst groom he had ever received! there was no thought consideration at all - he was basically shaven - he looked like he had no hair on him and this will take 6 months at least before he would look like him again!! If I had known they were going to shear him like a sheep I could have done it myself. Never again!

I’ve given these guys 3 chances and been disappointed on each occasion mainly as a result of internal miscommunications. Initially there was a change of ownership so I gave them the benefit of the doubt but today I was charged $79 to collect my little pooch after paying less for the same service (a bath & eye and nail trim) during my last visit. What was even more disappointing is that I specifically asked for her tail hairs to be trimmed but she was handed back to me with a mattered, knotty, non-groomed/trimmed tail despite the price increase. I don’t mind paying for a good service, but this is not what I feel I’ve received sadly.

Rip-off. Have been taking my dog to Murphys Paw for years at $90 a groom. She has just been collected and I was charged $125!!?? a 40% increase!? Confirm costs and shop around before you drop your loved one here.I’m response to the owners reply to my original review:A late fee for delivering Rosie to you 25 minutes late is ridiculous. Hair dressers do not even charge for that and I don’t remember signing anything to the effect. Rosie was late as we have to manage two small children (who demand that they come first) and one of them is currently unwell. We have been taking Rosie to Murphy paw for years and this is the way you treat your long term customers? We received a very vague text to say that there had been a price rise but were certainly not told that you are price gouging with a 40% increase. Shame on you.Can I ask - did your staff receive a 40% increase to their pay? I doubt it.I’m response to Rosie having ‘matted ears’ - as she has floppy ears she may have small mats that are easily cut or brushed out. Would you prefer that your customers hand you a pre-groomed dog so that your very well paid staff don’t have to actually do anything before you rip off your hard working, loyal customers?I double down on my poor review. Not only are you price gouging and taking advantage of your customers at a very stressful financial time for all families, you then point to some ‘signed pet grooming contract’ to justify it.Terrible business.
