I found my van brakes were not working prior to a trip to Eyre Peninsula.I contacted Clay's Auto and Andy fitted me in the next day.All I can say is Andy and his crew were fantastic. They identified the problem and had it fixed that day. Not only were they so professional but they were relaxed and nothing was to much of a problem.Without Andy we still would be sitting in Adelaide.Cannot recommend them highly enough

Smug, dishonest, incompetent, overpriced and unaccountable. If I could give zero stars then I would. After being quizzed by their friendly staff as to why on earth we would buy a European car, we were then extorted $1066 for a battery change and computer reset. Days later our car was back on a tow truck with an identical issue. Clay’s chose to ignore the RAA Roadside report of a faulty ignition coil and instead went by their own trusty motto of “chuck a new battery In ‘er and she’ll be right”.Further testing conducted by RAA’s own battery technician’s revealed that the original battery was in perfect working order and was in no need of replacement. Their testing also revealed that the $245 dollars charged for a computer reset was completely bogus as the car’s CPU was still registering the old battery make and code. After being ordered by the RAA to return the car to its original state and provide us with a refund, their eftpos terminal was conveniently declining refunds that day and we were to wait another 3-5 business days for their bank to clear the funds. A whole lot of our time was wasted for no solution and not even an apology issued. Avoid this business at all costs.

Customers are invisible, and staff are rude. Sat for over an hour before being told my job wasn't ready!! When phoned in the morning we were told it would be over $200 more expensive than originally quoted. If I could give this company no stars then I would!! Be wary as I have heard they do this often!

Air con suddenly stopped working due to pressure switch cutting in. They identified the issue and replaced the condenser. Worked back to complete the work on a busy day for them. Service was great and they couldn’t have done anymore for me. I went to them after receiving a personal referral from another mechanic. Will use them again and recommend to family and friends.

This guy is not nice. Never go to him. He told me that it would cost me $40 for the car service that he was working on, but then later charged me $150, saying “I told you the part price, not the labour price”. Like what am I going to do with the part price alone? He was working on my Ford reverse sensors. And then when I picked my car up, my tail light stopped working and I realised that my car sensors were dangling from the bottom of the car. I booked an appointment with him again and told him that he didn’t do the job properly with the sensors and that I think he accidentally did something to my tail lights. He was smoking and talking to his missies and disregarded my claims and charged me another $100 to fix what he messed up.

They fixed my overcharging issue but charged an awful lot. Was a poor condition connection at battery giving poor info the regulator/alternator. Very little in parts but $340 overall! I had replaced alternator myself and I think I was being given a lesson not to do stuff myself but go to them first and for everything. Felt ripped off but no comebacks. Check the price first and be humble and appear ignorant and he’ll probably be fairer on you than he was to me.

Andy, the owner, got me a lithium battery jump starter for a very competitive price and had my car fixed within the day. Thanks so much, would definitely recommend this place!
