Our family has been with hurstspeech for nearly 3 years. Both my boys started at 2 and have been treated with care and professionalism. The therapists have not only taught my boys but they spend the time educating the parents how to help and guide for the best success. Appointments are structured and fair. There are many options if u are unable to attend in person due to sickness or other reasons, homework is given each session and reports are thorough and on time. The centre is clean and the therapist ensure your health is taken seriously.

Melissa Crompton is amazing. We just saw her today because our daughter refuses to eat and is losing a lot of weight.Melissa straight away helped us to get her admitted to hospital to get help. She called the paediatrician and wrote a letter so my daughter would be seen asap. She made me feel seen and understood. We will always be grateful

My three children have been client of HurstSpeech going on 8 years. The service and therapy sessions have been amazing. Linda and her team tailor sessions to meet the needs of each child to achieve the best outcomes. My eldest had speech delay due to recurring ear infections now 10 yrs she confident in both her spoken / written words and enjoys reading. My youngest children 8yrs & 5yrs both diagnosed ASD when they started therapy were largely non verbal with severe speech delays. Each child needed a different approach to therapy it's been challenging at times but they are both Verbal now and able to communicate with adults and peers.I am extremely grateful for everything the wonderful staff at HurstSpeech has done for my family and continues to do. Especially Linda and Stephanie, you guys are amazing.

Highly recommend Hurst Speech! My son has been coming here for 4 years and daughter for 2 years. My son has immensely developed his speech, reading and spelling!Throughout the years, he has worked through his speech development with 4 different therapists as they try their best to cater to his needs and availability.Hurst Speech provides 30 minute sessions per week, with homework and extra support through emails and phone calls if needed.Could not praise Lesleigh, Jessica, Stephanie and Tina enough!

I can not recommend this service more highly. They have helped my daughter not only develop in her speech and language but they also assisted our family navigate the NDIS. The information Linda provided was invaluable. Thank you

One of the rudest tutors I've ever encountered. She shouldn't be around kids with disabilities. She is impatient with children and will take her frustration out on you. Your child will not benefit from this and it is a waste of money. I do not recommend it.

We had weekly speech therapy sessions for our 2 year old and had to discontinue due to the below reasons, so this may come in handy for someone exploring therapy services for their child:1. There is absolutely no flexibility to reschedule your sessions even with ample notice/in case of sickness. You end up paying nevertheless.2. The sessions required our 2 year old to sit and pay attention for 30 minutes. This was near impossible as we had to restrain him for the most part and he did not enjoy the time. We felt a therapist who would move with the child and pick on their interests would suit us.3. We as parents never walked out of the session with a plan/handout/ ideas to work on our child until the next session. How is a weekly session for 30 minutes going to help the child make any meaningful progress?4. The therapist, Lesleigh Cleur, always wore a face mask making it impossible for the child to read lip movement. Despite requesting and offering to wear a mask ourselves, they refused to saying they will wear it nevertheless as it was a ‘health facility’. It sounded more like a flimsy excuse or whim than anything else as we didn’t see anyone else at the centre wear face masks. Moreover, what’s the point of speech therapy if the child can’t read the lip movement of the speech therapist?5. The approach used was rigid, stock standard and wasn’t tailored for the child’s level of comprehension. The focus was on joint attention to begin with when we hadn’t even managed to get basic compensation or imitation. In all, our experience with Hurstspeech has been disappointing and a waste of our time and money.

I have to say i am quite disappointed with this place. My daughter has been attending for close to a year to try and get her to speak with no success. I never formally met Linda the owner only seen her once and she never introduced herself to me.However i heard her reprimanding one of her therapists when i was in the waiting room, which i found very unprofessional. The center is very run down and unorganized. Very cramped and dated. It seems that its all about exploiting the NDIS service and not really focused on the children that attend. The therapists under Linda seem to try their best but the terms and contract / agreements they make you sign just shows its all just about the money.I gave 1 months notice of cancellation as per the agreement the next day they cancelled all the sessions without giving an option to finish off the last 4 sessions. Just so they can get someone else in to fill my daughters slot and yet still charge NDIS fees. Also i was paying myself at the start and when i got NDIS funding they raised the price an extra $10 a session !I do not recommend this place but thank her therapist Olivia she tried under the difficult circumstances and conditions
