A good place to do your morning exercise plus watching sunrise as added bonus. Parking is easy and plenty of shops/cafes in the area.

Large foreshore with undercover picnic/bbq tables (but get in early on weekends). Paths for walking & dog friendly (on leash). You can go onto the sand when the tide is out. Fish & chip shops nearby too. Only two toilet blocks at each end. Recommended.

Great for dog walking, running, or just to look at the ocean, with plenty of street parking, there's also seating along the esplanade with bench seats beneath the unusually pretty trees for shade to sit and ponder

A lovely place to walk/cycle. The path is even & hugs the shoreline. Starting at the pier & goes all the way up to the bridge. We enjoyed a plate of chips at the Cafe near the pool. There are about 3 fish & chips shops on the main road which you can take to enjoy on the foreshore.

This is a wonderful place to enhance your body, mind, and spiritual health. The vast expanse of the ocean is so peaceful and healing. There is a vibrant atmosphere with happy people of all ages, and delightful dogs in all shapes and sizes. We are truly blessed to have this place. Who would have thought that exercising could be so enjoyable!

Wonderful esplanade to spend an afternoon or evening sauntering around the promenadeThe main section is calling lovers walk as it was intended to be Dovers walk after the town council engineer but some enterprising post cars makers covered up the D making it an L! There’s picnic spot s and shelter sheds ! It suits all agesLovely way to spend the afternoon or morningToday being a public holiday is super popular so you might have trouble finding a park but you can go down a side street
