River Drive Motel, what a sensational place. This amazing motel transformation bridges a gap between art series boutique hotel and old school country motel in ways that are truly inspiring. There was loads of fun stuff in the shed for the kids and plenty of design inspiration for the adults, with the attention to detail exceptional. We will definitely be spreading the word and can't wait to return.

What a gorgeous motel! The interiors are beautifully designed but also welcoming and relaxed. The beds and couches are super comfy and the garden is spacious and picturesque. So many good spots to chill out and read or play board games which are provided along with kids books and an ice maker in the communal shed. Lots for families to do on site with totem tennis and guest bikes and just a short drive or ride away from the beach. Love the bike/ walking track all the way from the motel into Venus Bay.

Our stay at River Drive Motel was perfection! We stayed with our 2 year old and all had the best time! The room is beautiful with thoughtful touches. The beds were so comfy we slept wonderfully and felt so relaxed. Our days were filled with exploring Gippsland which was guided by suggestions from River Drive. We will defiantly be back!!

So beautifully and thoughtfully designed. We had a restful stay at the motel. We stayed in room 5, the family apartment, which was super cosy and had everything we needed. The kids certainly had a lovely time. Do check out the shed during your stay at the motel - it has games and even an ice maker, which was handy when we needed some for our drinks! Overall, such a gorgeous property. Loved the garden area too. Highly recommended as your base when exploring Gippsland.

River Drive is amazing. The rooms are beautifully designed and you just feel at home. There are so many well thought out design aspects and inclusions. The kitchen has everything you could need. The outdoor space is incredible- a beautiful garden, BBQ area and - the shed! It’s packed with games, esky’s, beach towels, BBQ tools. The whole place is well maintained and beautifully clean. Family friendly. Playground within walking distance. Pub, walking trail, IGA and coffee all within a few minutes walk. Just the most wonderful place to stay and so relaxing. Also - 7 min drive to Venus Bay and lots of places to explore close by. Highly recommend.

We LOVED our stay at River Drive Motel. Rooms were beautiful, spacious and very comfortable. Every detail was considered, from how well stocked the kitchen was, to the comfortable linen, robes and a well stocked mini bar. The communal areas were fantastic, especially for those with kids. The huge lawn, bbq area, and The Shed" which was full of games and toys for little ones (and adults too) perfect for a family getaway!"

Perfect winter getaway! Partner and I had two nights here and could've happily stayed on. Beautifully furnished, clean and modern. Everything had been thought of, from the cute kitchenware to the great array of local yums in the mini bar. We played finska, roasted marshmallows in the shared outdoor fireplace, went to the pub next door for a delicious meal, saw a double rainbow! Drove to a local market, had the best fish n chips by the water... I'll stop there. Needless to say, we shall return!

River Drive Motel is a little home away from home. The perfect weekend getaway to explore the best South Gippsland has to offer. The motel has been beautifully designed, with every detail meticulously considered.

I stayed at this motel for a night getaway with my family of five, including three adults and two kids. The place exceeded our expectations and left us amazed! The room featured cutting-edge technology, with a code provided to unlock the door, eliminating any concerns about check-in time. The owner showed great attention to detail, providing a basket filled with items for purchase, ranging from alcohol and clothing to snacks. We were also delighted to find adorable dressing gowns available. The entire room was impeccably clean and beautifully designed, showcasing thoughtful touches throughout. Additionally, the motel's proximity to the beaches and the variety of nearby cafes and restaurants made it even more appealing. We are definitely planning to return and stay longer next time!
