Having on the 22/11 evening received poor service from the sales person I returned the following morning to be served by a young man who checked and verified that there had been no change in the policy decision on returns. I walked away with my faith restored and a new pair of shoes.At Rivers Tuggeranong purchased a pair of shoes on 22/11 evening and within minutes of leaving store returned and exchanged them upon realizing I had picked up the wrong size. However, the person for whom I had made the purchase didn't like them. Returned about 30 minutes later to return them and the girl at the counter refused a refund stating `Rivers' policy was to only do exchanges within 30 days. Claimed it was a new policy and as a loyal customer I should be aware of it.There was no manager at the store to escalate it furtherLater on while looking at the receipt at home noticed the statement, 30 day refund policy gives you the power to change your mind."Not good service at all to a loyal customer of over a decade. Especially after a hard day's work."

Don't like the new location, isn't like it use to be yrs ago. This Tuggeranong shop is always closed early which is such an inconvenience. Never has what I'm after in stock

This place no longer exists! Why do Rivers still have an online account for a store location that has closed down? Travelled to this location yesterday to return a faulty pair of sandals only to find the store empty and a FOR LEASE sign on the windows.They had another store within walking distance. I was unable to return the item however because the only staff there was a girl who was no more that 16 yrs old. She advised me that in order to refund for a returned item, there had to be two staff in the store to authorise. The only positive in this whole waste of time experience was the professionalism of their young employee, who was respectful and apologetic throughout. I hope they pay her well. One star is the least I can give as zero star reviews aren’t posted. The additional star is for your employee. The overall low rating is for Rivers retaining an online presence for a store no longer there, and for a returns policy that’s dependent on two staff being present, which it seems is not that often.

Staff is very rude, Not helpful I am finding something she didn’t ask for help even she told me you mixed . She is busy in mobile

Went in to find some shoes. Waited by counter and the serving girl was talking to her friend. A couple came up, she served them, then soon as they left, she went back to talking to her friend. Waited as she spoke to her friend, I walked off to get shoes so I’d actually get some attention and minute I left, the woman in queue behind me went to the counter got served. Soon as she was done, girl went straight back to talking to her friend. Eventually paid attention to me, asked what I was after and said if they had the shoes in a size 13, and was then told that the only shoe sizes they had were out on display. Within seconds - detached attention from me and straight back to talking to her friend.This was at 2:21pm on Sunday 7th May.Seriously, that was appalling customer service. No offer to call another store if they had them or not. Seems talking to your friend is more important than earning a wage and offering assistance to customers.First experience with this store hee in greenway as newly moved in. Won’t be returning - rather be more inconvenienced driving out to Fyshwick DFO rivers than driving 4 blocks from our apartment to this store if this is what my first time experience is.

A newly renovated and relocated store inside the old hyperdome aka South point Tuggeranong. More organised than before.

Got 2 pair of jeans from there as a xmas present same size 34 slim but different color problem is 1 pair is about 1 inch shorter than the other clearly a defect so return to swap for a longer pair lady looks up on the computer where my sister is a member they were bought more than 90 days ago so there is nothing she could do i had known since xmas that 1 pair didn't fit but had not rushed to swap them as it had been hot and i hadn't needed them they still had there tags on had not been washed or worn just kept in a plastic bag on my chest of drawers. So i would definitely think twice about buying a gift for someone from there would not have gotten that attitude and result from kmart or Target .I am very angry with the rivers shop staff at tuggeranong very disappointed indeed and i still have a pair of jeans that are 1 inch too short. . I did not know what they had cost and when she scanned it up and they where only $6 dollars i could not believe i was getting so aggravated over $6 . So i said there is nothing you can do form me and left so $6 must be more important than customer service and satisfaction

I received junk mail advertisements from this company. Consequently avoiding them.

Every time this store moves, it's standards drop.The Rivers chain used to evoke thoughts of quality, at good prices, however this particular store is now full of irrelevant junk items such as Air Fryers, and poorly manufactured clothes. I'm not sure if this particular store is actually an Outlet"
