We often buy Banette bread from Rosalie. Baguettes and loaves have been great. I was disappointed with the croissants we bought the other day though - I think there is room for improvement. The shapes of the 3 were inconsistent and not why I expected. They are only $1 cheaper than Lune croissants so I was expecting something a little more in texture and consistent size and texture.

Banette bakery and cafe serve very traditional French theme. Large range of pastries and small selection of bakery. Ideal for a snack. Coffee was average would have preferred a larger serving. Very small area which would make it difficult for disability and wheelchair access.

At last what Paddington was waiting for - a genuine French bakery!Not only I had the best ham and cheese croissant but also a very nice coffee.Nice terrace with plenty of seats undercover, a fantastic place to chill out on the weekend.Staff was welcoming.This has officially became my new home for breakfast! :)

It's been a real pleasure to be a local to Banette since they opened the door to west suburb area. I've tried quite many of cakes, pastries, bread, sandwich etc and never been disappointed yet. My top picks are cakes with fresh berries and Raspberry mille-feuille.Good ingredients, fresh, not too sweet.They do good coffee as well with Clandestino beans.All the staff are bright and welcoming, hope this little business keep doing what they are good at it!

This suburban patisserie is a little gem. I regularly enjoy their sandwiches, pastries, cakes and coffee. The kouign amann and canelé are absolute winners in my opinion.I enjoy the approach to customer service here. In Australia we have become too used to cloying, fake and overly intrusive customer service. I appreciate that the staff here do their job well.

I don't recommend their coffee, I asked for a small flat white with an extra shot, it tasted like warm milk. Very disappointing!
