Semaphore Foreshore
Semaphore at late sunset is deserted and quiet like a gentle muse. The white sand turns purple-pink in the twilight. The waves play peacefully with each other.Walking on the beach, those waves gently whisper into my soul and remind me of a meaningful and worthy living life, a life in which we live empathetically, respect, and love each other instead of being unkind.

Lovely area for a nice walk and sightseeing. There were a lot of people metal detecting on the beach. Great old buildings and interesting things to see.

The Semaphore Foreshore Reserve is a large grassy area with ample room to run around and kick a ball. There is a fully fenced undercover playground here next to the kiosk, a skate park, picnic and BBQ facilities and access to the beach and jetty. There are also some great shops, cafes and restaurants on nearby Semaphore Road. There are convenient beachside showers and the path that runs along the foreshore is perfect for a leisurely coastal walk, running or riding bikes and scooters. On the other side of the foreshore are public toilets and if you walk along the path down in front of The Palais you’ll find another playground.Semaphore is the perfect spot to enjoy time outdoors with your family with options to play on or off the sand. The beach itself is great for kids with soft white sand and low, gentle waves.

Took my breath away...Once I looked around into the distance, the view was beautiful. A massive ship in the far distance turned out to bed The Queen Mary 2.

Lovely seaside natural beauty. Beautiful clean beach, great jetty for walking on and enjoying. Lots of family friendly atmosphere activities - train, shaded picnic areas, toilets, carasel revolving with horses for kids to sit on, nearby shopping, nature walking, vintage large war gun to climb on. Restaurants and pokies.

Always a good place to visit especially when there is an event. Multiple playgrounds and areas to eat. The main road can get busy with road traffic but there's plenty of footpath to get to choice of cafe, take away and other shops

We love it down here, the fishing and different festivals they have every now and then. We were down here on the weekend for the Indian colour festival what a great day.
