Max Seafood Restaurant

This place may have changed name. On the signage it says Two Palms and on the menu it says Max’s. I think ‘Max’ should go and dine at some of the restaurants in the area to get a better idea of quality and rethink the menu. Maybe even consider a new chef or sending the cook they have for a course. I’d like to recommend that they should consider transforming into an old school diner. Bring on some steak sandwiches and burgers and have milkshakes as a specialty

NOW OPEN FOR BREAKFASTI had savory mince and toast for breakfast and it is one of the best breakfasts that I've enjoyed for a long time. The meal included an egg on top of the savory mince. The egg was a farm fresh egg with a rich color which demonstrated to me it was not a cage produced egg. My wife enjoyed smashed avocado on toast. Both our toasrs were cooked to perfection and not hard or tough. We both enjoyed a long black coffee with our meal. The coffee was rich in flavor and not bitter to the palate. Congratulations to Vince and the staff for the experience of an affordable delicious breakfast and we wish you prosperous times ahead with your extended times to now serve breakfast.VALUE FOR MONEYThe Restaurant is situated in the middle of the Broadbeach Mall on the left hand side walking towards the beach. My wife and I eat here regularly (at least once a fortnight, sometimes more regularly) because we enjoy the food, the service and the casual atmosphere this Restaurant offers. They have a $10 lunch menu with about 15 dishes to choose from. I highly recommend the grilled chicken, chips and salad. The chips are the best I have had on the Gold Coast. The Cob Loaf of garlic bread is absolutely delicious. Too big for one person but delightful for two for a pre meal entree. I have had other dishes from the $10 menu and have thoroughly enjoyed those too. The beer is cold, the food is fresh and not over cooked. I love their Merlot wine. My wife and I have also come here for a magnificent seafood platter and wine. We can't fault this Restaurant. The Restaurant is wheelchair and walker friendly. It's a great place for families and babies. High chairs for infants are available. I have seen some of the poorer reviews for this Restaurant and I can only say that bad service or bad food has not been a part of our experiences. The Restaurant has a casual atmosphere, don't come here expecting a posh experience.

Seven of us brunched here Sunday morning and could not fault them. Even short staffed, they were courteous, prompt and our food was very well presented and delicious.And extremely well priced.Will go again.

We set down and ordered 2 iced lattes with soy milk along with our food. The nice girl that took the order said it was fine to make the lattes with soy milk instead of regular milk, as we requested it. Minutes later, some other lady comes back and says that they could not make the iced latte with soy milk but only with regular milk. I asked why that was? Did they not have soy milk? She responded that they did have it but they just can't make the iced latte with soy milk no specific reason given. However, they could make a regular hot latte with soy milk. It was so bizarre and weird that I asked her 3 times why they couldn't just use the soy milk for my iced latte instead of regular milk and her answer was just simply, we just can't. So I was kinda forced to have a hot soy latte. And then the food came and we ordered smashed avocado with poached eggs and the eggs came boiled with solid yokes, and they seemed to be red inside instead of yellow/orange like a normal egg. So needless to say the eggs were so NOT fresh, the toast was nasty, legit the cheapest piece of toast you could find anywhere. When we went to pay, we felt like we were just another transaction, the man collecting the payment had no people or social skills and a bit rude. Will never ever set foot in this place again.

Max is awesome Fresh Food. Great $10 lunch meals lovely and generous servings as in my photos. Staff are friendly and smile, thank you guys see you again soon. Keep up the good work.

We used to love it here and haven’t been for quite some time. So last night we decided to come in for dinner. The waitress was lovely but she seemed a bit unsure of what she was doing. We ordered the Ship to Shore platter as we have done in the past and when it came out we were shocked at how small it seemed compared to the last time we went. The food was ok, but for $125, it wasn’t worth it and it wasn’t enough.When my partner went to pay, the man at the bar was quite unprofessional and arrogant.It was a totally different experience to what we had last time we were there. It’s obviously changed hands and I’m sorry, we won’t be returning in a hurry. And they might want to move the shopping trolley and baskets and random things away from the view of customers. Not a good look.

Breakfast terrible that's been kind.Pancakes inedible as thin as paper and cooked on a dirty grill. Eggs burnt toast not cooked only 2 tables of customers. Would not recommend this restaurant dirty tables chipped salt shakers no pepper dirty floor.Cashier (manager) couldn't count no people skills at all please support other business more deserving of your money.

Staff are absolutely rude. Was going to turn us away because we had 13 people when one whole side of the restaurant was empty. Had to argue about letting us use separate tables. Whole time the waiters would continuously give us filthy looks, would point at us and shake their heads. Kids nuggets weren’t cooked properly, couldn’t get two of the meals correct. Disgusting service, if we could give 0 stars we would. Will never return.

Looking for a seafood feast? Look no further, Gold Coast best kept secret I loved the food and friendly service. Value for money...wow, we had the seafood platter for 2 just amazing. Definitely coming back for more.

Only paid $10 for this succulent Grilled chicken, salad and chips. (Lunch specials) There were many choices. Extremely tender, with a touch of crisp. Very flavoursome. Highly recommend. Sauces were home made. Yum.
