Place alwasy seems busy so we figured we would try it out. Good and friendly service. Good portions of hearty food but without anything special. @$49 set dinner menu, it is still good value.

Staff were super friendly and accommodating to dietary requests. Nice space and not overcrowded. Food is simple and done exceptionally well with fair pricing and portion sizes. Will definitely be returning.

Loving this restaurant in River St Ballina! Amazing service amazing culinary delights wonderful coffee and a great array of wines and spirits to choose from! The cocktails are wonderful and if your lucky enough for Mozza to make them ...wow !! With alfresco and indoor dining and live music it's the cool place to be . Great ambience and a wonderful marquee for the perfect birthday party! Well done Danny Singh and staff . The cove is definitely the place to dine !

Great restaurant, fast and friendly service, with well seasoned delicious dishes and a good selection of drinks. Highly recommend the Saltimbocca, and the apple and macadamia cake. Appreciate having a set price for 3 courses.

Spending a Saturday night in Ballina on our summer roadtrip, we chanced upon the Cove on our walk around town from our near by hotel.From the first glimpse, it seemed welcoming & happening as it was packed full of people & had a live musician pumping out the classics from the front of the restaurant.Snagging a table, we found there was mandatory 3 course meal that we could chose from a host of tasty offerings. For $49, it definitely represents great value. And whilst the beer & cocktail menu has some great combinations, the wine menu might need a little more finesse.Being in Ballina I definitely had try some big (macadamia encrusted) prawns for entry, delighted in a delicious steak (was a little over medium rare) and finished up with cheese cake dessert.It’s got a great vibe and it’s run like a tight ship. Would highly recommend to anyone stopping by in town.

Delicious Food, Excellent Service, Great Atmosphere!We had the good fortune of celebrating Financial Year End (FYE) at The Cove in Ballina and what a way to end the (financial) year, with amazing food, impeccable service, and a lovely, friendly atmosphere.For starters my wife had the prawns and I couldn't go past the pork belly, both of which were superb! We have had the Angus fillet there before so knew it would be perfectly cooked at medium rare, and once again it was right on the money. The roast pumpkin, broccolini and potatoes were also mouthwateringly good, so we cleaned the plates. :-)Dessert was cheesecake for me and chocolate mousse for my wife, and both were delicious!I'd highly recommend making a booking and experiencing this wonderful restaurant!

I had high hopes from reading the set menu and reviews, but 3/5 is fair.Service: Our first interaction was with a young man who didn’t greet us or make eye contact, his T-shirt read “dope” & wore red skate shoes so we weren’t even sure if he worked there as everyone else was in black. Conscious he’s probably new so please train him. Otherwise the young blonde lady and owner were very busy but still managed to be pleasant and helpful.Meal: Food was fine, average pub type but nothing stood out. Our squid was stodgy, prawn linguine sauce was bland but enjoyed salmon and bruschetta.Could tell the owner had heart, all the best.
