Nice pleasant stay - neat presentable rooms. Aircon preset temps - doesn’t cool the whole room. Owner was nice - the cleaner not so. Extremely rude.

Not sure who they are getting to do their reviews but here is the facts.The room was definately clean.I had to go back to the office twice to get help re wi fi password. No manual pamphlet. In the room with the usual instructions and information.Rooms are definately old and in need of refurbishment. I don't think good value for money.However. The location is meant for travelers and a comfortable night sleep is definitely available.

The hotel room was rather nice.But the cleanliness wasn't that great. The mirror was dirty and had childs hand prints. So they obviously didn't clean it.Owner was slightly rude and a little standoffish towards us.Beds are comfortable, affordable and close to town.But due to owner, wouldn't stay again.

I called late, hoping someone would answer so I could book my fiancée a room (he was traveling solo from cairns). Lindy went above and beyond to get a room sorted for him and let me pay easily over the phone. Absolutely remarkable service, considering I called very last minute! My worries about my fiancée not finding somewhere to stay were resolved by this lovely lady going above and beyond. Truly appreciate it!!

Value for money, solid rooms.Although the motel is a little out of town, has been convenient for me when travelling to the Burdekin, being able to stay on the southern side of Townsville.Been caught out a couple of times having to get take away for dinner and discovering there’s no utensils in the room …. Interesting eating lamb shanks with a teaspoon!Have no ability to adjust the aircon…it’s either on cold, or you have to turn it off / back on.The woman running the motel is a little bizarre, lacking hospitality skills. Nothing that would turn me off staying there again.Road noise from the highway - not too bad.

Thank you so very much to Lynda for making our stay comfortable, quiet and relaxing under the circumstances. The room was more than adequate and she went out of her way to make us feel at home. The room was immaculately clean and fresh and waking up to kangaroos was a lovely addition. I highly recommend the sunbird motel for anyone wishing comfortable and friendly accommodation. We will definitely stay here again. Thank you again Lynda, you are amazing!
