Grabbed some lunch today. The location is great but the food was very ordinary. Grilled fish tasteless and rubbery. Fish burger consisted of a quite small portion of fish, a crumbling sugary mass-produced bun and a few slices of unripe tomato and shredded iceberg lettuce. The chips were nice. Unfortunately I waited over 40 minutes from ordering to receiving the food with no warning that the delay would be very long. It was way to much time to wait for such an ordinary meal.

Really good fish and chips, hard to say the best on the coast, but fresh, light batter and fat chips goes a long way to staking a claim.Weirdly good looking cake counter and great milkshakes and smoothies offers great promise for the other menu offerings.Staff are efficient and friendly.Great seating area outside and picnic style tables closer to the beach.

It's too expensive for what you get.We got there at 2.20pm and they would not grill anymore fish (we could only get battered fish).So we opted for veggie burger, BLT and bacon and egg roll.The veggie burger was just fried sweet potato scallops, beetroot, tomato, lettuce. For $11 you'd be expecting an actual veggie pattie.The BLT ($9.50) and bacon & egg roll ($10.50) are alright.Coffee was good.

The new burgers on the menu are delicious and well priced. Awesome location and good atmosphere with a real coastal surf vibe. Was busy when we went with holidayers but the food still came out at a reasonable pace.

Have visited this place twice in the last few days- once for fish and chips and secondly for coffee. Both experiences have been great. Our fish and chips order was ready promptly only taking about 10mins despite it being Australia Day. Coffee was delicious. Very convenient location next to the beach and a big car park.

One of the best fish burgers we’ve tasted so far around Batesman Bay. Owners were friendly and very welcoming. Food was also decently priced and right beside Surf Beach. Willing to keep coming from Canberra just for the burgers and view.

We grabbed lunch here on a Friday afternoon after Australia Day. Was greeted with the friendliest staff member, attentive service. We got takeaways, good old fish and chips. The kids raved about how nice the chips were, they were crunchy and cooked to perfection. Well priced. Highly recommend this gem!

Good coffee with a nice, local vibe. Fish n Chips were good but not great. Batter was crisp and tasty, fish was a little dry. A small serve of chips and, unusually, a small salad and dressing pack. A large, shared bench and a small number of tables and chairs but there is public bench seating on the grass near the beach.
