Discovered this place via word of mouth and I'm glad we visited. All the staff were amazing throughout the entire dining period and the food and drinks were top tier.The house cocktails were my personal highlight with such a knowledgeable barman who indulged us with an exchange detailing his creative methods and personal journey. We left far more aware of the craft and with amazing tastes to remember.

I absolutely love this place! Every time you have a bite it's like heaven, great service, food and cocktails. My favourite is the strawberry margaritas! Can't get enough. As for the food all amazing! I would eat here every night if I could!

We love going there for meals, we are always greeted upon entry by Justin who remembers who we are and treats us amazingly.The food is first class and the cocktails are just as good.This is the best Mexican food on the coast and deserves 5 stars.

My friend and I decided to try something new so we came here and we could not have made a better decision!The workers were extremely attentive with my friend and showed impressive knowledge on food allergies.Not only were the staff lovely, the food was absolutely incredible!I will definitely be back!

Came here for hubby's birthday dinner. Didn't have a booking for Saturday night (strongly recommend you book on weekends) but the host that greeted us was accommodating and managed to squeeze us in. We had a quick and delicious meal just how we like it and really enjoyed our food, cocktail and mocktail! Thank you team and I look forward to visiting again.

We found this place when they were in Terrigal and was so disappointed when they moved but we have followed them to Toukley and it is totally worth the drive (from Umina). As a transplanted American I am very picky when it comes to Mexican but they do not disappoint. Totally recommendUpdate:We have been a Mexicoast fan since they were in Terrigal. The staff are always fantastic and the food, while not exactly what I’m used to being from the States, has always been delicious.However, yesterday we drove up from the peninsula to fulfill our Mexican cravings only to find that the beef had been changed, we cannot order the charred corn for take away, and normally they don’t offer the chimichanga for takeaway either.I am a huge fan of the old way the beef was cooked, last night It was just ok. The rice was undercooked and crunchy it totally turned me off. As I stated earlier the staff are always fantastic and last night was no different, they allowed us to order the chimichangas for takeaway, they said they don’t offer it because it can get soggy. Well I love the chimichanga and I ordered one, drove all the way home and only a little bit on the bottom was soggy and it didn’t matter it was still delicious.The charred corn i was refused, they said it takes too long to cook and making it is a whole process, but if I sit at a table and order it then I can have it. This makes absolutely no sense!!! I was willing to wait the extra time but the chef still refused. Which left me wondering what would he have done if i actually ate in the restaurant and ordered it and asked for a box to take it home.My experience last night has made me second guess my recommending Mexicoast and my own future patronage.Please let me reiterate this, the staff was still fantastic.

We were really excited to try this restaurant .We had tried the beachy the previous night, and it was quite bad , coming from Sydney and being in the food industry our expectations were high.From the second we stepped in there, every single employee was lovely and super enthusiastic . Straight away I could tell the staff were cared for and valued by the owners - always a big win from me.The margaritas were generous and incredible (and we have had many over the years !) the level of knowledge and passion of the bartender was incredible . He had us try a few different nips and tailor made the drinks especially for us.The food was outstanding , multiple HOUSE MADE hot sauces by Mexican chef, proper fried tortilla chips. Mexican rice on point,My partners spiced ribs on rice- he said he has never had better.The smoked chicken and slow cooked beef tacos he loved as well.Not just this- but the owners were so personable and passionate and let us try a special Mescal.Honestly -thank you so much for your hospitality . We will absolutely be back when we are up that way .BTW Great seeing wheelchair accessible bathroom

Food was great, so tasty and plentiful. Service was very friendly and efficient and the drinks were amazing. Only drawback was the loud Irish music coming from next door

OMG delicious! We were lucky enough to get a table with a last minute booking, but I can definitely see why this place is so busy! It's fantastic! Friendly atmosphere, great decoration and great people. The cocktails were definitely on point, and I tried the Chilli Cervesa (beer) which was not bad at all. I also had the fish tacos which were not bad at all. The beef tacos were the pick of the night though. There's a pretty cool system where you can order right from the table but scanning the QR code too. Give this place a go!
