Beautiful pineapple fried rice. The owner is nice to talk to. A comfort food place for a nostalgic soul from Singapore. The black glass makes it hard to see if they are open from the outside. But they are open 7 days a week. And the view inside is actually pretty good.

Recently visited Shanghai Dumplings with a friend when looking for somewhere laid back to grab dinner and was pleasantly surprised.The service were great and the dumplings were pretty good too. Bonus points for BYO wine and beer.Nice to see some new places making their way into the village.

Shanghai Dumplings
First off, forgive the photo. I was starving and had begun smashing the food before I even thought of taking a snap!Long story short: delicious dumplings. Fantastic fried rice. Reasonable prices. One of the most enjoyable lunches out I've had in awhile. Definitely worth a look!

Shanghai Dumplings
We ordered two serves of dumplings, satay noodles and what was supposed to be Pad Thai with chicken - cost us an astonishing $71. There were 3 pieces of chicken in my entire dish, zero sauce, everything was bland and packed with filler ingredients and the soy sauce was sour. Bad bad bad!

No good, awful to dine in at.Seems like the waiters aren’t trained in customer service at all.Food is anaemic and unappealing.The ‘stirfry’ was a shinny Msg rich, pale meat calamity.Dumplings aren’t fresh that’s for sure.Give this one a miss folks.

My partners comment on dinner was that it was the best noodle dish he had ever had. We got black bean noodles and a black pepper chicken dish. Soooo yummy! Vegetarian spring rolls are amazing also!

Shanghai Dumplings
We ordered from Shanghai Dumplings through uber eats at the set delivery time was up to 1 hour. We received our order just shy of 2 hours!! My partner called the restaurant three times trying to find out where our food was and the guy said it had left 20 mins ago and we found out an hour later he had lied to us and stuffed our order up. The uber driver explained it was the an error at the restaurant and was very apologetic; she had come straight from the restaurant after the meal had been made. After finally eating at 9:30pm the food was pretty average and my stomach has been playing up since.

Shanghai Dumplings
I eat here almost weekly. Absolutely love the pork pan fried dumplings with some soy sauce and the chilli oil they provide. Sometimes you wait a little longer than they estimate for your order but they are still the best dumpling place around (all of the Peninsula) and absolutely worth the wait.

Shanghai Dumplings
I ordered from Shanghai Dumplings through uber eats, where they have a set delivery time of between 5-25 minutes. This is incredibly misleading and my order arrived five minutes shy of three hours later (at 9:45 pm). This is after calling the restaurant twice trying to find out what the hold up was. The staff were honest and kind at least, and mentioned they were understaffed and under the pump. Employ the appropriate amount of staff for your restaurant, update your estimated delivery time, and mention that the quality of your food isnt worth the wait.
