South Lawson Parklands

An old golf course turned into a beautiful large public park with walking / cycling trails, picnic areas and an off leash dog park. Very lucky to have this so close to home!

It’s a beautiful park under the blue sky. If you have puppy, you must visit this place. Don’t forget ball and frisbee for your puppy. ( A lot of dog friendly bushwalking tracks and waterfalls around

Great park and people, only a small portion is an off leash area, which is a shame as dog owners make up the majority of the users

It's really great how Western Sydney and Blue Mountains councils have revamped large areas of recreational parklands for the nourishment of all the residents. The beautiful South Lawson Parklands are superb and a respite for many humans and animals.

This old golf course converted into an off leash dog park has been one of the greatest things in moving up here to the Mountains. My two standard schnauzers have never had it so good! Easily the highlight of their week is their weekend 40 min walks/runs in this park. No small gated parks like in the city, here they can run full pace with the wind in their hair and truly get their energy spent and curiosity satisfied. So good for me too, such a beautiful walk and views.

An old golf course turned dog park and with a agility course and surrounding tracks leading to waterfalls it makes for a great place to take a dogs for a day out.

Great place to walk your dog and socalise with other dogs. Big enough that you can get a solid 40 minute walk.There are bins at the top of the hill on the roadside but no water facilities or toilets yet.the dogs and owners overall are generally very well behaved, i have to take a star off though as we took our small puppy there to enjoy the sunshine and while he was greeting another dog on a lead. One of the larger regular dogs came up and attacked him unprovoked.He wasn't hurt but its a cautionary tale to the people will smaller dogs you will need to be vigilante. My little boy is friendly with all the big dogs so it was a bit scary for it to happen to him all of a sudden.I'd suggest going on Saturday mornings as the all the responsible regulars tend to gather then. And if you have a grumpy or snappy dog keep them on the lead.Nobody wants to have their best friend hurt because of selfishness.

Best place ever for dogs and people to exercise and socialise. Tons of space. No aggressive behaviour from the dogs as there is many acres to spread out or just huddle around the logs.

Large off-leash dog park. Unfenced and no bins or water deep in the park. Bring your own water and clean up bags. Dogs are well behaved.
