Bangalow campground

Bangalow campground at Watagans National Park provides a relaxed getaway for the family or adventure camper.The tall blue gums and blackbutts which surround this rustic campground in Watagans National Park make for a wonderful forest clearing for camping in. After you’ve settled in, why not take a walk along the Gap Creek forest walk? Or venture to Monkey Face lookout for a spectacular view.Make sure you bring a few comforts - plenty of drinking water and some firewood for those toasty times by the campfire. And while you’re relaxing by the fire, you’re likely to be serenaded by kookaburras, lyrebirds or the occasional after-dinner guest - the sooty owl.

Beautiful grassy, open location surrounded by trees. I camped there for 2 nights. There is 3 picnic tables, 1 with shelter, drop toilets are nearby. It is close to the dirt road that leads to Gap Creek Falls, which is less than a 10 minute walk.Gap creek Falls is majestic, well worth the 25 minute walk from the end of the car park. There is also other bush walks to explore as well.

Great camp spot with heaps of space, picnic tables, and toilet facilities.

Nice little campsite however the bbq's were out of gas so I would recommend having a backup method for cooking food

Bangalow as close toilets but no showers and BBQ's to use lots of wild life hanging around.

Been here twice, easy to drive without 4WD.

Good starter spot for new campers and backpackers travelling by car. Can get a little busy.I feel the facilities aren't maintained properly here, no gas in bbq, awful toilets, come ready to camp and you'll have a good time. 1-2 nights max.

Very step windy unsealed road.have drive slow because its so windy.free site.but i wouldnt bother. There no water when we were there.toliet facilities pretty bad.

Great place for camping lots of Wildlife and things to do

The gas barbecue facility has been vandalised and has been taken out of service. There are two wood fired barbecues, Which you will need to bring for your trip. You will need to take water for drinking and washing. The toilets are one male and one female of the long drop style.
