At the end of 2019 we undertook a major renovation of our 1970’s double storey house. The entire downstairs section had been built in at an earlier time however was not council approved and not functional. We met a few times with Richard and the architect that he works with and came up with a plan to completely renovate downstairs (to end up with a lounge room, main bedroom with ensuite and WIR, laundry, study and spare Bedroom and bathroom.The entire build from start to finish took just over 11 weeks (including some fairly major outdoor work).We were incredibly happy with the whole process and would highly recommend this company to anyone considering building work. Richard was always approachable, full of advice and suggestions (which was helpful to us as we are not experienced renovators) and had a true vision for how it would all come together. If any issues arose, he was quick to deal with them and usually already had a solution in mind by the time we had noticed there was a problem. He was conscious of our budget and was able to work with us in finding ways to keep within it. Both Richard and Max worked incredibly hard and kept to the proposed timeline; kept us well informed of when tradesmen would be coming and kept the site clean and tidy at the end of every day.We found the quality of the work they did to be of a very high standard and are absolutely loving living in our beautiful new spaces!

Richard Waterfield and his team, Dave and Max (and Bridget), did a major renovation for us at Tarragindi. They kept the shell of a post-war 3 bed, 1 bathroom house and turned it into the most wonderful 5 bed, 3.5 bathroom house with top-and-bottom large decks and did a magnificent job of it.I hoped, but didn't expect, to find a builder that takes this much pride in his work. It was not done until it was done right. Richard and his team are craftsmen; not cookie-cutting manufacturers.As importantly, when Richard said what things would cost, he stuck to it. Of course, with any renovation, there were occasional variations (like when extra asbestos was found hidden in an old retaining wall) but everything in the plans was built for the promised price; not a cent more, built to budget.Also, he kept us fully informed every step of the way with humour, plain English explanations (or sketches), and he was always accessible for our 1,000's of ideas, questions and worries - quickly taken care of. I cannot recommend Richard Waterfield and his team highly enough.

the initial quote of about 10k end up 15k for a water leakage job. and failed to address the issue. later charges were suprising, e.g. waiting for water saturation do dry. they didn't know they are going to fix water leakage at the start?
