Nazareth Aged Care

As the anniversary of the death of our darling Mum approaches, I reflect on how fortunate we were that she spent her final few weeks in the care of the Sisters and Staff of Nazareth House.Mum had lived independently at home from the time of Dad's passing, and it was a big transition for her to move into care. She had a terminal illness and both her pain and personal needs were well managed by the staff. She enjoyed the wellbeing activities, the meals, and the peaceful surrounds of Nazareth House. The compassionate, respectful care provided to Mum by each of the staff was excellent. We shall be forever grateful.

Nazareth care, St Michaels has been a Godsend for both my parents. They were lovingly cared for by staff who were genuinely caring and loving and went through great lengths to provide them the care they required. My mother loved the garden and the sunshine. Staff would make time to take her out for her to enjoy the garden. The Sisters of Nazareth also made the place special with their presence, overseeing things and working hand in hand with management.For me visiting my parents was simply like visiting them at their home. The ambiance of the place always made me feel God’s presence. I always felt at ease, a sense of peace as I entered the place.I loved taking my parents to the church on the premise, sitting outside in the gorgeous gardens to enjoy the sun. My parents loved this and this gave them much happiness.It is a wonderful place for a loved one to spend their remaining life in God’s presence. I thank each and every one of the wonderful staff, management and Sisters of Nazareth for the truly loving care and respect they gave my parents. This will stay with me forever.

Thank you so much for the level of care which the staff and sisters of Nazareth House Camberwell gave to my mother.When she arrived they advised us of their ethos, which is care first. They definitely stood up to their promise. From the day mum arrived, to the day she passed, the level of care which was given to her was of the highest standard.Other facilities can only wish to match the high standards set here. Don’t bother looking elsewhere..

The three years before going to Nazareth House my mother was in another facility and all she did at that facility was cry in pain. She was never relaxed there and we always had issues with her care. Having had enough of seeing her in distress and not get the care she deserved, we moved her to Nazareth House.The move to Nazareth was the best decision we ever made.With the years of experience the Nazareth care staff have, they were able to settle my mother and keep her comfortable.The care at Nazareth was second to none.Within a week of my mother arriving at Nazareth she was settled and relaxed. She didn’t yell out in constant pain like she did at the previous facility.The sisters and care staff were proactive with all of her care.Thankfully the last 6 months of her life she was treated with dignity as a person should.Thank you to the sisters and staff at Nazareth House, words cannot express how greatfull I feel.

Nazareth House Camberwell is the place for your loved ones.Our mother stayed at Nazareth Camberwell, St Joseph’s wing for 6 months. The staff were caring, attentive, respectful. Their collective professional experience was immeasurable.We cannot thank them enough for giving our mother the best, last 6 months of her life.There are not enough stars which we could give them to show how highly we recommend them. Nazareth Aged Care, Camberwell should be on your list.

As a family, we have the highest respect and thanks for the wonderful care at Nazareth House afforded Mum during her 22 months with you.Thank you for your pride, high work ethic and friendliness- from Mother Superior, all the Sisters and wonderful, caring staff and residents for meeting all of Mum's personal and religious needs.Mum settled in and made friends from the first day feeling secure and safe and was kept busy with a variety of activities on and off site.We believe the quality of Mum’s life was greatly improved and extended while she lived so happily with you…(If we could award more stars on the website, we would!)Based on our experience we would happily recommend Nazareth Care to anybody seeking an extremely high level of care and individual attention.Creina Day and Family

Following the passing of my dear mother I have had time to reflect on her life and more specifically the care she received at Nazareth House. Despite the obvious distress of watching a loved one decline, I do get great comfort knowing that the care she received in her final months was exactly what Mum needed. All the staff showed Mum such kindness and compassion and gave her a real sense of belonging to the Nazareth community. Mum loved to participate when she was well enough in the activities offered and loved the friendships formed. Our family always felt welcome and cherished the fact that we could gather together in many of the secluded areas to spend special quiet time with Mum. In her final days the pallative care was exemplary and she passed away with all her needs both spiritually and medically meet to the highest standard. I could not recommend Nazareth House more highly.

Thank you to the Sisters of Nazareth and the staff for the care they provided to my mother and father. As a family we had confidence in the professionalism and the care provided. My mother suffered from Parkinson's and was nursed with kindness and respect.As a family we felt that there was a sense of belonging and the family and extended family celebrated special occasions and visited regularly. There was always somewhere to be a family together in the building and out in the beautiful gardens. We joined with other families in activities and my parents enjoyed the company of the other residents.The palliative care they received at the end of their lives was individualized for each of them. The staff supported both my parents and ourselves during this time both medically and emotionally. There was a special love and empathy that was tangible and reflected in the relationship built with the Sisters and staff over many years and at the time my parents were at Nazareth house.

It has taken me a while to write this review, but I would like to thank all Sisters and staff for the care provided to my Mother in her final few months. Mum had been very independent and living at home until she was almost 89, but eventually her health declined and she needed more care and support.  Nazareth House was the obvious choice as my family had seen our Grandmother and other family members being well cared for there over many years.It was a difficult transition for Mum, but all the staff treated her with kindness and respect and we always felt welcome when visiting. The facility is older than many others but has private spaces for visitors to spend quiet times. One of our favourites was the extensive veranda overlooking the beautiful garden.Mum’s health continued to decline until she passed away peacefully at Nazareth House. We could not have asked for a better environment for our family to say goodbye to our dear mother.  She was so well cared for and it was such a relief that she was there rather than in a busy, noisy hospital. We were all treated with empathy and given plenty of support. We will always remember the kindness shown. Thank you.

Thank you to Nazareth House for the wonderful care of Mum and Dad. The staff at Nazareth House are extremely professional and care for the residents with kindness and respect. We built relationships with other residents and their families. We felt part of a community. Mum and Dad enjoyed the opportunity to take part in activities run by the Well-being team and to go to Mass if they wanted to on Sunday in the beautiful chapel. We often joined them in activities and got to know the staff, Sisters and residents and their families. The staff and Sisters of Nazareth supported my family when we needed help navigating the challenges of Mum and Dad's ill-health and dementia. Dad said he wouldn't want to be anywhere else. When Mum and most recently Dad passed away 6 months ago the palliative care they received was outstanding and the love and kindness shown to us at this devastating time for our family was incredible. We have been back to Nazareth House since to visit and have been welcomed back by the Sisters, staff, residents and families like we had never left.
