The young guy serving me was polite and friendly even though they were 30 mins away from closing and were probably dying to finish cleaning and go home for the night.The sauce & napkin station was clean & tidy, the pies were delicious, and I appreciated the positive experience.

Very disappointed, new staff are rude, the house cake was so old the raspberry’s tasted off, the caramel slice was so disgusting it went in the bin, the chocolate tasted off! I use to frequent this place and the food and service was top notch, now it’s run by teenagers who don’t care if I get food poisoning…. Lift your game Banjos Claremont

Bought two meat pies from Banjos in Claremont today tasted great but they had hardly any meat in them hardly covered the base of the pastry apparently you now pay for the air inside a pie , won't be going there again

It’s clear that the place is being run into the ground by the people running it, got a coffee, carrot cake and mushroom pie. Coffee was burnt, the person making it didn’t seem like they knew what they were doing it, carrot cake tasted off and the mushroom pie was burnt on top and soggy down on the bottom. Not sure if it’s all the new staff that haven’t been trained properly or the old lovely staff being pushed out that has made this banjos the worst in Hobart but I won’t be returning that’s for sure.

Brought a cape Grim steak & mushroom pie. Found a hair in it when I was half way through. Arrgh. The pie was actually hot but it lacked any flavour. Was about 2 miniature slices of mushroom. Small amount of beef & plain gravy. There was actually no salt or seasoning. It was tasteless. Don’t think I’ll buy another
