Fantastic, friendly and honest service.I broke a trailer cable on a tree branch, and whilst I didn’t care what the repair would cost (after all, I broke it) the repair cost was only for the actual replacement cost of the item (less than $15). Not marking up the item an exorbitant amount is refreshingly honest.As a recent new hiree building our first property the Mitchell, Phillip and Fyshwick branches have earned our loyalty.

The guys at Phillip were really helpful, efficient, they gave me all the information that I needed, helped me load and unload my vehicle. It was a good experience.

Excellent service from staff, very helpful with trailer for the Tiller I hired and provided ramps and tie-down straps as well. Did the same with the return. Thanks guys.

Had a daunting task of preparing concrete balcony slab for tiling.Removal of the old tiles left a very rough and uneven surface.Phone advice offered to me by team leader Scott and back up by shop assistant Daniel, was faultless.The equipment recommended and provided performed perfectly.The job that I thought was going to take 2 days I completed in 4 hours.Thank you.

Great service from the first phone call to pick up and returning of hired equipment. All the lads came out to assist and ensure I was being looked after. Very welcoming and friendly staff made the whole experience very easy and enjoyable.

From the initial call, to picking up, to extending the booking and to dropping off, the whole experience was flawless. The fellas there are easy to talk to and have all the knowledge you need. I will only be hiring from these guys in the future.

The large ladder we hired was good and the guy that loaded it to the ute we borrowed (Matt) was good but I had a very bad experience trying to determine the cost of extending the loan by a few days—and ultimately got burned.When we picked it up, Matt said after a week the daily price is a 5th of the weekly rate. A week passed and we wanted to extend the hire by a day or two so I phoned to confirm its availability and the cost. The woman who answered says Phillip store is closed on Sundays so that day is free and advises me to phone the Phillip store direct to confirm availability and the exact cost. So I phone Phillip store and the guy who answered said she was wrong; they're open 7 days and after a week it resets to the standard rates for half-day, full day and weekly. I tell him that's neither what Matt told me a week ago nor does it align with what the woman I just spoke to said. He replies in an irritated voice 'Well that's the price'. Rude and, as it turned out, also WRONG>As we're driving to borrow a ute so we can return the ladder as per the original plan, a 4th Kennards person phones to correct the advice of the previous man and apologies for the rudeness. The correct daily rate to extend a loan for more than a week is, he tells me, 10% of the weekly rate. He says that means $19. I say ok; thank you, we'll bring it back in 3 days (expecting to pay another $58).3 days later my spouse returns the ladder and they charge us an extra $115.When I phone to query it AGAIN, the guy who answers says you need to speak to another guy but he's busy so he'll phone you back. That was 4 hours ago and I am not expecting them to call because in my experience they are fickle and unreliable and prone to rudeness..My advice is, get the cost from them IN WRITING.

Thanks to Pierre for giving us such a good run down on how to build and ise the giprock lift, it made a hard job super easy!
