Sometimes I'll wait an extra 15 minutes to go into my appointment and I can see that the person meant to be serving me is just having a leisurely chat with someone. It's an open plan office but they'll move around the corner when they see me. The plan was to get me an RSA but Help aren't running a course for another two months.

I was at HELP Enterprises Strathpine for over 9 months – between late November 2016 and early September 2017.A 2 star rating is fairly generous, but I will list some positives – the staff were relatively friendly and courteous, while the area manager did consult with me personally and devise a plan of action for the next 6 months (which was not properly followed through). Now I will list the negatives:- The branch itself was somewhat under-resourced, as the office was relatively small and somewhat dilapidated with few amenities for visitors (such as television), while one of the staff members admitted to me via phone that the turnover was high due to a lack of pay. There was less turnover in the next agency I attended, the waiting room was better maintained and there was a television.- There was a lack of professionalism: staff were invariably at least 15 minutes late and calendars were not changed to the correct month. I’m not sure that excessive time serving clients is an excuse for being late in this case; my appointments were meant to last for 30-60 minutes, but usually lasted for about 15 minutes. In the next agency I went to, the staff members were almost always on time and appointments often lasted for the full length of time.- The area manager admitted that he rarely encountered individuals with my condition and none of the staff members betrayed any knowledge of my condition, so I suspect that they did not understand the strengths and limitations my condition placed upon me. In the next agency I went to, people with my condition were apparently common and recognised.- Extremely high turnover: I saw 5 different people in my 9 months there (the longest period of time I saw a consultant for was under 3 months). You cannot really build a rapport with your consultant under such circumstances, nor can they develop an understanding about how to satisfy your needs. As such, my appointments were usually short compliance checks, where I felt less like a valued client and more like just another number they had to process. In the next agency, the consultant was there for at least 12 months.- They did refer me for a few bookkeeping jobs, but I was also sent to interviews for inappropriate jobs (telemarketing when I had no sales experience) and my last consultant made some absurd proposals, such as that I could work at an abattoir in Wagga Wagga (!) despite having previously been an accountant. This did not happen in the next agency I attended.- Unlike the next agency, this agency made no effort to help me access places for interviews.

I was with max employment for many years and had lots of trouble with them. I have several medical issues and would be sent to jobs that max employment knew I could not do due to illness. They were after the bonus they receive when they find a job seeker a job. I was told by a friend to try help employment at Strathpine and I did sign up with help. My team member is Shane Clifford. Shane has been absolutely great and been a huge help to me. He has been professional and compassionate. He helped me get a job interview as well as a hair cut and clothing to wear to the interview. He has also contacted me if a course or training has popped up that would benefit me in the future. I found Shane very easy to approach and talk too. I have had a pleasant experience with Shane and help employment over all. I strongly recommend help employment and especially Shane Clifford.

I love this place. I transferred to HELP after bad experiences with other agencies. My consultant Melinda Walton has been amazing! Helping me deal with injuries, work place issues and just being an all round support when I need her. I know that she's always there for me, going above and beyond what I could ever expect from a worker. I'd be lost without Mel and without Help

These guys can't even do the job they are paid to do. Can't even help you get a job. I know people that have been with help employment for years and they can't even get them a single job interview.
