BUYER BEWARE - WARNING TO PROSPECTIVE BUYERSPurchased a printer online and collected days later, began setting it up at home only to find a fault was present and was not able to resolve it via the OEM troubleshooting guide. Called the store to inform them of the issue, they agreed with my initial approach to contact the OEM and get support directly with respect to the OEM product.OEM came back after several back-and-forth emails (1-2 days) to note an unresolvable fault was present and to return it to the store for refund or exchange under Australian Consumer Law (OEM team appreciating the Aus Laws). Did so the following day (today), only to then find that the team member in the store needed to also ‘troubleshoot’ the device (I mean sure, maybe the store member knows more than the OEM?).After waiting half an hour and hear the device being worked on in the other room (yes, that’s the level of ‘troubleshooting’ required at this point in person, lots a paper trays / covers being bashed around), they also then returned and agreed a fault was present and not able to be resolved.At this point I mentioned I’d happily take another unit or full refund (as is consumer choice under Aus Law). Sadly, they didn’t have a spare unit on the shelves, so I said I’d take the refund and find a unit elsewhere. At this point, not only did they then refuse to refund the product as was their obligation, but began saying they’d need their ‘warranty team’ to have a further look to see whether the unit was defective. Escalated the matter to the store manager, I got the same thing, effectively getting a shrug and repeated the same reply - didn't matter how many times I directed them to the ACCC website listing consumer rights.So, in reality, these guys will happily disregard Australian Consumer Law (ACCC), wherein, once a product is shown to have a defect (an I mean, come on, at this point, I’ve shown it, the OEM has stated it, and even the store staff have acknowledged it), the consumer then has legal entitlements. All of which were disregarded due to the retailer having some BS policy in direct breach of Aus Laws in place to protect the buyer.Writing this as of today when the event has taken place. Noted to the store regardless of the ‘warranty teams’ assessment I still want a full refund. Will add further content to keep prospective buyers informed of this shameful process. As I'm sure the next ultimatum will be they somehow get it working (against OEM advice I've recieved), and then say they would give an exchange in-lieu of refund - again, a choice the consumer has, not the seller.Quickly searching as I write this, it’s a shame I didn’t do as much homework on their reputation, as it appears they have a longstanding history of doing this.No doubt there will be some form of stock standard reply to this warning saying ‘oh dear sir, we’re so sorry that we did everything we could and that we disappointed you, please send our feedback team something via [add email address here]’. To which I say, why don’t you just adhere to the legal responsibilities placed upon you by Law, instead on clasping onto people’s money when issues are found to take place.Be warned people!

Praise be to Jack the Scorptec Computer God. Jack or as I now know him as, HIM !!! Best service in the game. Came in with a problem and was walked through all possible issues and solutions. Excellent service and after sales support. The staff walked me through buying the parts for a new mini PC for my workstation, and answered all my PC illiterate questions. I ended up picking a wrong configuration, but they helped me find the right one, switched it for me and updated my order accordingly. End result is an amazing PC that meets all my needs, and for a really good price. Appreciate the support.

We asked Scorptec to build us a PC and they produced a very professional result. The cable management alone was excellent (see pic). I am PC illiterate so the fact that everything worked seamlessly is, to me, awesome.Well done Scorptec - we'll be back :)

The people who care and listen make all the difference. Dealt with Eric and Jack, ended getting two of everything and left a very happy customer.So, you get great prices (about 3% below Amazon for my monitors) and people who know and help you out. What more can you ask for?

I like Scorpion and have used them for decades and I like the sales staff in their stores. But, their warranty returns process these days is pretty dysfunctional. Expect to get no updates on progress and no responses to any messages you send in their online returns system. You have to call them up and they may need reminders every now and again, eg my unit sat at one of their locations for a few weeks before they even sent it to the manufacturer. Eventually it does happen though.

Worst experience I've ever had with a computer store. I hate leaving negative reviews but at this point I am so fed up. I spent 3k on a scorptec pc in late 2021. The first day I had it it blue screened and couldn't turn on. I restarted it, seemed fine. Worked ok for a while then started having the issues and more again.I have taken it in 3 times. Still having the same issues. I understand sometimes its hard to tell where an issue is forming, but after 3 times, that's so frustrating.A PC I bought for gaming can't be used for gaming... or just anything. I've been trying to get a refund for a while now, but its just a cycle, take it in, they don't see the issues, I get it back, it's still broken, ask for refund, take it in, they don't see issues etc.Occasionally I deal with really nice people who understand the stress and actually help but alot of the time it's just brushing off any stress I am having with the PC.Managers are untouchable, Warranty team has no regard for the customer, Service guy was plain rude in text, calls never go through and even if they do I don't get a whole lot of help.If I could give negative stars I would. My partner has also had issues dealing with them for his own PC. Won't be working with them again.Unsure if I am just unlucky or if it's the company.

I would advise not purchasing anything from the Scorptec, it has been compromised, and all of the customer data is being used by cybercriminals in phishing campaigns to steal your credit card information. I have informed Scorptec of this issue, but they refuse to recognise that their systems have, in fact, been hacked. Not even an email to customers informing them of the phishing emails and to be on the lookout. Do not register an account or purchase any products from them.

Staff are soooo slow. Had to wait in line for ages while staff take their time chatting around. They are pretty good online otherwise.
